Thoughts on what I can do myself to correct this?
I have 3 small paint blemishes that all look like someone took a nail and just tapped it in a single spot and the paint is gone down to the metal, I think.
No, no one did this, but that is what it looks like.
I noticed them a couple of weeks after I bought it and was told it probably happened after I bought it, so....
Anyway, thoughts on what I can do to "correct" the paint divots?
Yes, I did try the touchup paint and I need to do it over again and make it smoother, but...
Thoughts?
Note, the pics tend to show more than what is really there, some of the other things seen are just specs, dirty, etc.
It is the item in the center of the picture,

Take it to a professional detailing shop that specializes in touch ups. They can fill the spots with paint and then wet sand / polish to smooth it out. Unfortunately since it wasn't caught before you took delivery of the vehicle, it'll more than likely be denied warranty claim. I think only dirt under the paint or bubbles would be covered anyways.

I had a couple of bad paint spots I didn’t notice for a couple of months. I was able to get it fixed under warranty.

You could for sure make a warranty claim, for a better chance, I'd remove the touchup paint before you take it in.

He would have noticed three of these at delivery and/or much sooner than 3 weeks. Those look like rock chips.

Maybe, but it is kept in a garage and where these dints are located is not in a normally seen spot. Since garage kept I did not have to wash it during that first three weeks, that was the first time I saw them, washing it where you do get a better view of every inch of the car.
I don't think they are rock chips because of where they are and there is no indentation at all of the metal beneath. These are all three almost identical in size and shape, like I said, a tiny nail head tapped enough to remove the outercoat, the paint and the undercoat, without putting a mark at all on the metal underneath. If it had been a rock I'd see something in the metal, and I don't, even a scratch or something marring it, but the metal is perfectly normal.

Anyway, need to remove that bad touchup job I did on the outer paint like Magic88 said and take it in to see what the dealership says for warranty repair.

If not, will check with a friend of mine to get his inputs, guess y'all haven't seen these. I'm special, hah

Have you seen this?
Thank you, I should be able to do this. I have the paint and my wife is a crafter / artist so she should have micro fine brushes and even a toothpick sized applicator.
Seems like it just takes a bit of patience....
Thanks

ok, can you tell where they were? Some of what you see is dust specs that I left for comparison. I got 2 of the dints ok, the third is a bugger, and found a 4th that is on the wide that I have no idea how I missed it, it is on the right rear fender along the metal bend, ugh, oh well, I will get them. I'm sure I will find more. Just hope the whole car doesn't start showing these up. Just takes patience and not getting greedy as he said in the video, had to restart it 3 times before I finally just let it fill.

You're a magician, way better job of touching up the spots.
ugh, very close inspection of the car, found 2 more plus the one on the right rear, oh well, hate to say it, this paint looks fabulous, but I do think it is pure shit for factory / reliability.
the spots are in different areas of the car, not rock chips or anything, same MO, will work on them though and have documented in case they keep popping up. This is the last of them after inspection, total of 5. 2 repaired as you saw, 1 gonna be fun, the last 2 "should" be same as the very first 2... ugh
I will be at Ford this afternoon to show them what is going on....
I absolutely love the look of the color, but the quality, not so much.

You'll hate me for saying this, but if you're taking it in, I'd remove the paint work you just did so the dealership can see all of them, take pictures and start a claim. If you go in and only show the 3 that are exposed and a claim gets approved, wouldn't you want the other two spots you've done, redone? Worst they say is no, and you've proved you can make them disappear?
