Are you planning on tracking it? If not, why add the cooler?
My non PP oil temps run 240ish when spirited driving. I was concerned at first and considered a cooler, though I have found my car seems to really wake up the warmer it gets, and 240 running full synthetic, I'm still in the safe zone. NO plans to track the car, Plus where I live it is cold 6 months a year so for me it seems unnecessary.

Now I am looking for mods, (other than a supercharger or turbo) that add torque and HP

The hell they won't! And do!

It's called marketing. No different than "Win on Sunday, buy on Monday".

Some people will spend thousands more (for parts only cost Ford hundreds) for a DH or PP just to say they have one and to play Ricky Racer. Ford isn't dumb - they do it to make money. What percentage of people who buy a DH GT PP are actually going to track it? Very few.
Then on top of all that Ford does, aftermarket vendors jump in and make millions more claiming "THEIR" aftermarket product(s) will make your car better......can't tell you how many aftermarket vendors I've invested in over the past 20 plus years.

What is the risk of the cooler failing though, and would you be able to tell before it’s too late? (Sorry for my lack of knowledge). Genuinely curious. Trying to figure out whether it’s worth it.
If you're capable and confident in your own work? Zero.

Finally installed the performance pack oil cooler on my non-performance packS650 Mustang. Check out the video for install and overview!

Hey, off the point of what you are doing to your car, I saw the car lift you had under your car and what brand model car lift do you have and are you happy with it and how high could it go! I’ll appreciate the info you have regarding the car lift! Thanks!

Wrong.

Even brand new parts can be defective. Defective parts can cause failures. Ford doesn't care if your aftermarket modification was defective or not, even if perfectly installed. If it can be determined that the defective part was the root cause of the failure of an otherwise covered part/repair, Ford can most certainly deny the warranty claim to cover the otherwise covered part/repair.

Second the QuickJack praise. They’re heavy and cumbersome to initially set in place (relatively) but make many jobs MUCH more enjoyable, or even possible, as opposed to only jacks and stands. They come in different capacities but you may as well get the 7000 lb rating - just in case.
I haven’t used them but MaxJacks are also intriguing if you’re on a sufficient concrete slab.

Stang24 - thanks for the video. Will be tackling this project soon and this was helpful!

The quick jacks are heavy yes. I think mine is rated for 5000 lbs. Glad I could help !

I’ll give a third praise to the Quick Jacks. When you first get them, it can be a little nerve racking using them but after using them for a while, you get over that. They get pretty high for under the car work compared to jacks/jack stands and make it much easier to get the car up in the air.
I just make sure to inspect them, check the fluid, and check the pressures on the shocks before using each time. I also use a pair of jack stands to set under their frame when they are mid or fully up as a second safety measure.

Great video! Thanks for sharing!

Amazing to me how critical people are because a guy wants to add an oil cooler. It's his car, if he wants one, that's his choice. I think that fake scoop are a worthless and ugly mod. but it's your car, if you like or want them, good for you.

Nobody was being critical. Some were simply pointing out that mods or accessories without a tangible benefit was little more than feel good thing and/or a waste of money -- which is a fact.

Which is precisely why I said exactly that in my posts.

A word of CAUTION.......if the said oil cooler unit does not have a thermal bypass you run the risk of running the engine too cold.......many of my Cobra friends just threw FANCY coolers on their BIG MOTOR Replicas and ended up having to block the coolers just to reach normal operating temps.......just saying!!

Exactly. That's why, earlier in this thread, I posted that, as a general rule, 230F to 260F is pretty normal oil temperature for most vehicles. Oil running within normal operating temps improves viscosity, which helps it protect the engine.
