Initial estimate submitted to state farm was 13.5K, then was brought down to 11.9k due to the rail/frame not needing to be replaced/repaired.

Most insurers don't offer agreed value policies on your average everyday automobile.

Antiques, collectibles, classic, or higher value vehicles, yes, but not your everyday driver. Even with those, you have to go through specialty insurers.

Through which insurer did you get an agreed value policy for a late model Mustang?
I have an agreed value on mine through Philadelphia Indemnity on my late model Mustang
Looked at Haggerty as well but was a little higher

Where 350s book vs where they sell if quite a bit variance....thought better safe then sorry

Looks like OP's car will get fixed.

My 11 year old GT Premium was t-boned 4 months ago and the estimate was $9,100 and insurance fixed it rather than totaling it. With the prices on stuff now days I see more and more wrecks being fixed.

Didn’t say it was however one would be ‘gambling/playing the odds’ they’re gonna be around ….
Using that ridiculously ignorant logic, 99.9% of everything you do every single day could be labeled as "gambling".

Can't speak for Philadelphia Indemnity, but I know that Haggerty policies include restrictions such as limiting the number of miles per year. Point being, if they knew you were daily driving it, they would not insure it.

Sorry you are going through this OP.

I got rear ended in 2016 in my 2015 Mustang. Owned it just over 6 months. This was $14,000 worth of damage:

S650 Mustang Rear ended. Frame damage possible 20160113_063743

S650 Mustang Rear ended. Frame damage possible 20160113_171230

And.....during the repair: :(

S650 Mustang Rear ended. Frame damage possible 20160128_134409

Took the dealership just over 6 weeks to repair. One of the wiring harness connectors was smashed so they had to order a new one. The harness ran all the way to the front. They got the new one and de-pined the connecter and put the new connector on.

Yea, one of those things you carry when you're gambling whether or not it's going to rain.
Oh, i thought you were gonna say ‘a protecting force or influence’. 😉

I alluded to it earlier but i’d be tempted to take this as an excuse to upgrade and add all the steeda suspension parts i could, since they, in theory, will only fit if square (factory spec).

i’d even try to get the same shop to do the work.

Hate to see it. I was t-boned when I had my Challenger, never quite drove the same after, and it picked up a rear diff whine. Good luck with the repair.
