I got it too. The last mention I saw about this was as a fix for the "won't crank, won't start" shitshow a couple of months ago. I took my car to the dealer to "reprogram the BCM" then according the notice. The dealer gave it back to me after having it a day and said nothing was wrong. Well, coincidentally, it happened again 2 days ago. Luckily it was in my garage. Both times, the car started up just fine after about 20 minutes of sitting and a series of relays firing. I am going to take it soon to have both the clutch line (mine is fine, but need that checked off) and this recall checked off. When I opened FordPass this morning, I was greeted with this recall notice.
Anybody know what it is for?
Just switch to "Sport" mode. Start/Stop is automatically disabled. You are not required to complete a recall, and the dealer cannot do it without infoming you, and they can't do it if you decline. So if you don't want auto stop start to "work correctly" just ignore it.
I have a "Mobile" appointment with my dealer in a little over a week. The car does NOT need to be at the dealer. They said it should take no more than an hour done in my driveway.Sure enough, I see it on mine as well. Just like the last one I'm in no hurry to get it done.
