The 24S36 Recall has been somewhat lost in this thread. However, I had made an appointment with my dealer for tomorrow (Thursday) as I was close to hitting 1,000 miles and ready for an oil & filter change.
I checked the clutch hose connection against the firewall and it appears solid.
I am ASSUMING that is all this recall is dealing with. Is this CORRECT?
They want me to leave the car with them all day to deal with the recall. I'd rather not. I can wait for the oil & filter change.
Appreciate some guidance here.

If it's snug and not coming off I think you can wait. I have not even thought about taking mine in. I checked it. It's good. Recall stays open, but whatever. I'll get it voided later. All day for a 5 minute check is ridiculous.

Agree on the 5 minute vs. all day. This is why I will push for a quick inspection and decision.

Your the customer. Tell them to get the recall done after the oil change. Your educated on what is exactly involved and your clutch line is OK. Clear the recall after they take a look at it. It seems they want your car all day to just fit in between jobs they make more money on. What BS.

I had the dealer do the recall inspection yesterday and there was no issues. I was one of the people that had the info screen randomly staying black on start-up. The dealer installed 2 software patches for APIM and GWM modules, TSB 24-2129. Time will tell if this cures the problem.

At least they are being upfront regarding inconvenience. Compare car dr to people dr and appointments. If you ‘know’ it’s good it’ll take longer to fill out the paperwork than actual work. If it’s a fail and they don’t have what they need on hand it may take more than a day.

Question for ya! Is the clutch hose made of plastic or not? Thanks!

Just returned from my recall service and oil & filter change at 980 miles.
My clutch hydraulic line was properly attached, so nothing was done other than to confirm the attachment to the firewall. I don't know what material is used for the clutch hydraulic line. What I could see is that the line was covered is some heat reflecting (shiny) covering.
BTW: The Dark Horse clutch fire IS what prompted this recall. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/th...ns-down-from-stuck-clutch.161034/post-3272414

so I just got my car back from the recall inspection, they said everything is fine the techs didn't have to do anything. However, after I got my car back, the transmission feels much better, almost night and day difference. It feels "tighter" when I shift and no more 1st to 2nd shift jerk. I asked my service rep if they did anything, but apparently they didn't. Any idea what happened? I'm not complaining, but I feel like there might've been some issue they noticed and fixed it and for whatever reason aren't telling me.

I took my DH in for an oil change at 2,000km and had them do the recall. I didn’t think much of it, and didn’t even look at it before I took it in. Long story short my hydraulic line was not attached to the stud at the back of the engine compartment. Auto fail per the tech bulletin, but there is a dealer bulletin that says to reattach and inspect the line for damage. If no damage it’s a pass. I received a do not drive until replacement part came in which there was no ETA for. I opened the hood and took 2 seconds to attach the line to the stud and the ford tech agreed their didn’t appear to be any damage to the line but it was an auto fail. I just spent the day back and forth with the shop foreman - he went to the engineers for clarification and got the green light to pass the vehicle based on no damage or corrosion to the line.

For anyone taking this in for the recall do yourself a favour and check to see if it’s attached to the stud, if not reattach before going in. They still have to inspect the line for damage, this way you don’t get an auto fail. The instructions are somewhat conflicting and ambiguous and grey. if I hadn’t of been persistent I could have had a do not drive on my vehicle potentially all summer and have to stare at it in my driveway for no reason.

Hope this helps

I had the recall done and I watched the tech. He opened the hood, got light and look at the area. All good. I had taken a picture before hand but they needed to go with visual anyway. It still shows that it's not signed off because the dealers computers were down due cyber thing.

Does anybody know when we will get the service manual for 24S36 in europe? All our cars are hold back for delivery until we have that service manual. Which is pretty funny, because as it seems, in the US it is known how to fix the issue and in EU it is not :(

I'm not familiar with how Ford and safety agencies interact in EUR or other regions. But I did Google for the US recall and found the link above.

By clicking on the link, you have the actual recall document. A nice find within, you'll see the service information, to include the inspection and fix procedure. Photos are included.

I imagine there will be modified procedures and documents for left and right-hand drive cars.

Hope that helps.

I now tried to contact Ford US, DE and my Dealer: Answer is.. nobody knows :(

After the shipping delays this now really starts to frustrate me. The car was in Newark in March this year and I still didn't receive it. Will see if we still get it this year.

Just got back from my recall appointment. 7:30 am appointment and I was out of there by 8:00 am. Car passed, as expected.

Edit: does anyone know long it takes before the recall will clear from the app? Assuming that the service center has cleared it on their end.
