Because I want to feel more power. The car doesn't feel fast enough when you stomp on the gas. 400 plus horsepower in these heavy cars isn't that much.
I think a lot of that is due to refinement of the chassis. Test drove an m2 twice before I got the DH and it suffered from same numbness even though I was going fast when I looked down at speedo

No way will you get 30hp out of this tune with how agressive the S650 already is, unless you cherry pick some random part of the graph

Need extra power? Try a SC. Some come with a Tomahawk. Apache approved. Sheesh! Oh you want to dragrace? S550 is best bet.

Hey folks,

I don't know whether this was posted as a thread somewhere, but it seems something is coming our way regarding performance upgrades with more calibrations being available for tuners.

I was wondering if Ford might bring something with Model Year 2026, like a small performance update on its own and call it competition or Pro or whatever.

It is great we are seeting tuners doing a good job, but at the end of the day your warranty will expire and that has been always my concern. A factory based upgrade would be great as a first start.

Nothing changed. Any tune will be for 24-25+ s650 platform

Except the CARB EO# is only upto 2024. Ford will probably update it through CARB

I had the FRPP tune in my 2020, and I was very pleased with it. A couple of things.

1. Warranty is only good from when the vehicle went into service. If you have owned the car for a yr. it will only be a 2 yrs of warranty left.

2. With the ProCal you can configure tire size and it should allow 4.09 gearing for the MT guys. This was such a big plus for GT owners.

Coming to you guys from the M2 world.

Multiple videos of dyno results showing gains from trap removal, 10-12hp is likely.
Couple from h-pipe and high flows.
10lbs weight difference on h-pipe as well.
But I do agree with Placebo effect.. works for me! lol
OK, I’m officially confused.

While yes, there were verifiable gains IFRC up to ~17 or so HP with the S550, I thought it had been shown on the dyno that zero HP gains were to be had by carbon trap removal in the S650.

Maybe I’m watching the wrong YouTube channel but these guys seemed pretty legit. I was surprised and a little disappointed.

Removing them from the double intakes doesn't give the gains as it did on a single intake. You could probably put a sock over each and still flow enough air to make 500hp

This make sense. Since we now have a dual throttle body, there is more air to get in.
Limiting 1 throttle body would be more restrictive since that's the only way air gets in.

That's the whole issue with those carbon traps. One says no, the other says yes.
The only thing I know is that some people got a check engine light after temoving them.
Could be by damaging their sensor, or some other calibration that is not reading well after removing them.

So for this cause, I'm not going to risk a check engine light for something that is not really proven to be accurate.

There’s a ton of videos if you do a YouTube search. I’d say most reputable places say there’s a gain.
If you do it properly it’s super easy and no risk to Mass air flow sensor no need to even disconnect tube from throttle body.Ana no cutting of any plastic required. Just don’t be a dumbass is all.
40 minutes start to finish last night with finding the proper nut drivers which was prob 10 min.. lol
Why not is the real question.

I think the tuner is a win win. Roughly the same gains as headers without the tedious install, and half the price. Also I can correct the spedo for the summer tires. (2-3 mph)
