I spoke to my salesman about this at some length whilst the paperwork was processing...

Ford have done a deal where they pay a significantly reduced rate of fine for a set number of vehicles that they're over by. He is expecting two more 'stangs next week and then that's it for a while. He was as surprised as i was when it turned up. Although they had 3 transporters of new cars arriving today and 1 taking away used cars. The lot was absolutely brimmed with cars including a bunch of raptors say out on the grass.

Without the deal Ford would of had to have stopped selling ICE cars for the rest of the year already. Even if they sold nothing but EV's for the rest of the year at the present rate they'd still be under requirement and they can't survive on EV only sales.

He did say as of Q4 the stellantis group is halting all ICE sales until '25.

Attached is the window sticker, it's a bit mustang 6.5 some of the info is straight up wrong.

Edit - Also seems i was previously wrong about the wheel balancing being sketchy, the wheels have a white mark that has been lined up with the red dot on the tyres

Got to give top marks to the logistics side of Ford UK (although it did catch my dealer off guard)
It was a little over 24 hours from disembarking off the ferry to arrival at dealership.

I was a little concerned at first when they said it was expected at Dag on Tuesday, wasn't going to be picked up until Saturday and then not dropped off until the following Tuesday. I can only assume it jumped on the back of a transporter that was already going straight to my dealer.

I didn't get to drive it as it hadn't been through pdi yet and was still in transport mode. Although we did unlock that, it would still have its suspension blocks and things in.

Edit - I forgot to mention I was told that Ford were planning to hike the interest on mustang finance from already high levels. If your dealer offers alternatives take it. It's unlikely any will lock in finance until a car is physically at the dealership

Can I ask the tracking experts, does Compound Out at Newark 13th September mean it has gone onto a ship? I seem to remember reading something like that way-back.

It's like Ford don't want to sell cars anymore. I know they want (need) to sell more EV's, but if the market isn't there...

If they up their rates again, you'd be far better off getting a personal loan and then Ford lose all interest payments.

E.T.A. if Ford want to sell more EV's they need to reduce the number of mid to large crossovers they offer (inexplicably that's 3 totally separate models now) and bring back the Fiesta as an EV (a la Renault5).

Correct, the Atlantic sky left Newark on the 13th so good chance it is on that.
It is due to arrive at Liverpool today, there is a chance your car will get off there. But mine went to Antwerp. Worth checking the acl schedule as to when it's going there probably middle of next week.
Live chat might be able to tell you more detail.

Shortly after it gets off a boat it'll go compound in and then the wait begins again.

That tracking does look different to normal I did notice mine changed slightly in the last update before arrival

Thanks - I had worked out that it looked like it might be on the Atlantic Sky. Hope its unloaded at Liverpool, but I'm not holding my breath. At least it has escaped Newark!

No car company offers good rates on cars in short supply. Mustang will never have the same rates as more volume cars. Ford are offering 0% on some of their cars

My car went compound out from Newark yesterday, which means it is on the Atlantic Sun. That goes to Liverpool on the 10th or Antwerp on the 17th. Looking like an early November delivery to my dealer. Looking at your ETA to dealer of 2nd November I think they will all continue to go via Antwerp.

Your car was made in March before finally gate releasing 3 months later! I wouldn't be surprised if it was waiting for wheels at that time!

Yup my ETA on arrival at antwerp was a day short of a month, and the sky is due to dock there 3rd oct. My car did take 7 weeks from antwerp arrival to dealer but hopefully that's more of an exception than a rule!
However my car missed that eta by 3 weeks. Although 2 months behind target date is about right! My target stayed at 30/7 for a long time, arrived 26/9.

From what i remember the gate release date is the same day as contract date which was a couple of days after ordering. Which suggests it was built and awaiting an owner and for some reason they didn't ship it to stock.

Good news that yours has made it onto a boat at last for real this time Gregs24!

As for interest rates, it used to be 9.9% on the mustang, when they lowered the base rate in august ford put it up to 10.9% i've heard from the 1st of Oct it's going up again maybe as high as 14.9%
Ford wants to make as much money as they can off the finance (they limit the deposit lower than my provider as well) i've been financed at 7.9% (not great but couldn't beat it)

There was a question before but I can't remember which thread it was in.

The vehicle has auto folding mirrors that auto fold in when the vehicle is locked.

The puddle light is also a pony not dark horse

Do they? If so the Mustang has finally caught up with the rest of the Ford range as the S550 didn't work like this.

I believe they're different (larger) mirrors for the UK and Europe to conform with legislation.

They are and were on the S550, but didn't autofold

Maybe it is a new feature? Maybe adding BLIS meant they changed some of the wiring / modules
