Every time I start up my dash screen shows the seat belt seat status. I tried even bucking up before the car is started. It still seems to default to that center screen, I have to hit the steering wheel button up or down to change the the one I want. I tried taking the seat belt status off the list in the settings and it's still there. Am I missing something or is this just the way it is?
I also tried turning it off with the procedure on page 61 of the manual with no luck.

I tried that as well. And then this morning, there was the seatbelt status screen again.

The center also didn't have some of the other options that I changed yesterday for the display items.

Safety first, I doubt you'll be able to change it. Does it go away once you start driving?

I tried yesterday and it was still there after 13 miles. I am guessing this is way for Ford to get you to replace the steering wheel OK button in 5 years lol

Ok ya that's ridiculous. It should be like the seat belt chime, it goes away after a few seconds once you're good.

I've noticed the same thing on mine. Kind of a pain in the butt.

Same problem with mine. Really irritating that it won’t self clear after a few seconds. I think it must be a fault since I’ve never owned a vehicle where you must manually turn it off. Come on Ford, fix this as it’s pointless.

I’ve noticed this annoyance as well as the bonkers seat belt chime that will not STFU.
I’ll ask since I don’t see it clarified

Do I need to disable by FORSCAN for this seat belt display and the seat belt chime ?
( I always wear a seat belt, with the exception of in the neighborhood ).

With my ’17 Rap, you’re supposed to be able to disable the seat belt chime with a complex procedure described in the manual. It doesn’t work on my truck. It didn’t work for me, didn’t work for the dealer tech and didn’t work for their senior tech. I ended up disabling by FORSCAN and shutting off the other chimes; the “doo-doo-doo” and various others.

Update:
#2

You can suppress the chime, but the splash screen remains for I think 1 minute and the idiot light seems to remain in perpetuity even with chimes turned off.

The only time I see the seat belt status screen is when someone unbuckles before I have the car in park.
