I am currently trying to install the Steeda stop the hop kit but I am having trouble getting the passenger side front rear subframe bolt to go back in all the way. It binds up with about a 1/2 inch left to go. Any suggestions

You must not have it aligned properly. I would take out the driver's side bolt and try again

I have tried that. I can get the bolt in about halfway hand tight too. The alignment bushing is a very tight fit on that side, on the drivers side the bushing went in easy.

Do you have the bushing right way up/down? I think one side has a larger inner hole for the shoulder of the bolt.
Yeah even with the bushing removed the bolt won't thread all the way in

Bolt threads not damaged are they? I would run a tap through there and clean the threads up where it screws in... make sure nothing in the way above those brackets...

Bolt threads are fine, tried to run a tap through to clean up the hole. It's almost all the way in now, have about an 1/8 in gap still.

Using the same bolt that came out? The front and rear bolts may be different lengths (can't remember for sure).
Yep it's the correct bolt haven't even got to the rear ones yet

What kit number is that “Stop the hop” from Steeda you got?! Cuz I had mine installed without a problem!

If it were me I’d back the other side bolt out, grab a friend and both work on each side simultaneously. Sounds like tolerances are tight and a little off on one side will make the other impossible.

OP did say that even with the sleeve out the bolt would not go all the way. I can't think what else it would be... maybe he will post back with results. Mine went in easy... except the split collar around the rear bushings were the biggest pain.

It’s just not aligned properly. I went through this initially with my kit. Use a pole jack for assistance to try to put the subframe in place first. There’s spots in each area to safely jack it up. It’s a tight fit on the tolerance stack ups with the dowels. Do one side at a time and incrementally tighten the front and rear bolt to snug tight. Proceed to the other side and then tighten in a star pattern between driver and passenger sides.

Is it perhaps a Torque To Yield bolt? If so, it was stretched the first time it was used and should be replaced with a new one.
