The S650GT is a cruiser...Used Mach 1 would be a better car if your weapon of choice has to be a Mustang as additional oil coolers and Tremec goes...Wonder if the DH can take the heat in CA on tracks like Thunderhill,Buttonwillow or Willow Springs as Sears Point or Laguna Seca usually have cooler temps in summer compared to the others...But limp mode in spring in canada is a total fail for a track tool...disappointing ! My SS1LE never overheated even in 110 degree weather and I paid for it $42K OTD brand new in 2019...
Maybe...

Looks like DH with A10 still overheats but the only reason to get the DH is to get the Tremec or the forged connecting rods if you plan to SC it…IMHO

Some more data for this thread: I've tracked my car (GT PP) for 5x 30 minute sessions without any issues at Calabogie (3.1 mile track) with ambient temperatures between 75-85 degrees.

That is good to know. Go to Daytona tomorrow for first track day with the 24, also a PP car. 3.56 mile with temperatures in mid to upper 80's, high 60's low 70's humidity. Looking forward to the comparison between it and the 18 PP I had.

Similar numbers for me over at Gingerman Raceway, maybe 65-75 degrees. No heating issues the two times I've been out.

On those hot-steamy days like the country is having lately, if the car is properly setup, you can prevent overheating issues. Oil and trans coolers, dumping coolant and using water with an additive like Water Wetter or Purple Ice. Dumping coolant for water is probably impractical for most, since the car is also to be used as a DD, but it really does deter heat, if you plan on road racing it. Larger radiators help too. Again, some of this may not be practical for most unless the car is a dedicated race car.
