I don't want break anything so I am checking with folks that have removed it. Is there a technique or just pull straight up?
Thanks

Just pull it. It'll pop out pretty easy if you don't have a strut tower brace on top.

Just give it a good pull and it should pop right off! Just start with one corner and make your way around it if that will help you!

Rumor has it you lose about 40 horsepower by removing that plastic piece from the engine bay...
You've been warned!!! LOL
I was told only 22 horsepower loss.

That's what I found. With the strut tower brace in place there isn't enough room to maneuver it out

Curb feelers and bumper anti dear devices add 5 hp more for sure.

If it is like the Eco-Boost, the engine will run cooler with it off.
How do you know since the thermostat controls the temperature? My wife’s Edge Titanium did not come with with an engine cover and I added it and saw zero impact on temperature.
