What are some things I should do if I’m going to get out stage two Whipple supercharger??

I already have oil pump gears coming, but more or less and curious on how to take care of the vehicle after it’s put on? Are there certain things I should do or not do in the vehicle take long trips with a Whipple supercharger?

this would be my first supercharged vehicle by the way, so I could just use a little help.

keep in mind that i have never owned a supercharged vehicle, nor done any major modification like this, so its worth double-checking what i say here. everything i mention is either stuff i have picked up from the forums or product pages.
if you are going for the stage 2, here are some things i recommend:
upgrade the half shafts, but not to the GT350 ones. the beefier aftermarket or Ford Performance ones.
VMP strut tower brace. they make one that fits over the supercharger so you dont lose any chassis rigidity. do note that this brace apparently makes contact with the hood lining, so VMP recommends cutting out a piece of the lining to prevent contact.
in fact, if you have an extra $1000, i recommend VMP's stage 4 supercharger kit. its a whipple with a different lid, plus comes with a carbon fiber intake tube, 120mm throttle body, 3.5" griptec pulley, and fuel pump voltage booster. you are basically paying $400 for all that because it also comes with the dual pass intercooler which already costs $600 extra on the stage 2 kit from whipple.
you can get all this stuff from Lethal Performance, too, so no shopping around at many different retailers.

here's some links:

VMP's stage 1 and 2 are the same as Whipple's, but VMP decided to make a stage 3 and 4, too. i dont think there is much or any power difference out of the box

I’ve had the stage 2 kit on for a year or so, you gotta do an oil change to 5w50 motor craft, I DID put 1 GT350 axle in on the driver side as that’s the most common failure.

I think OPGs are a huge waste of time and money, other than that, I watch my temp gauges, I don’t drive it hard until the trans is warmed up… think 170* or warmer.
I don’t do back to back hits, and I don’t do anything if it’s too hot, say above 240*.

drive it sensibly and enjoy a long life.

if you want an oil cap that says 5W50 on it here's the part number NR3Z-6766-A, $17 before tax. you also dont have to use Motorcraft, all 5W50 oils are generally the same

Ok ok what about daily driving? Is it still good for the car? Whats the maintenance like after a year or 2 years or even 3.

I have been having this ca for a year and it only has 6200 miles on it, not even at my first oil change lol.

I have a upgraded radiator and oil cooler coming in to helpeitg the heat as well as oil pump gears.

More or less just trying to see what I'm getting into lol

My only maintenance has been oil change and tires.

DD could kinda be a pain in the ass, I usually have to fill up every time I drive it… so plan on being at the gas station every day… maybe every other.

just get a normal DD… using a Whipple GT like that is crazy to me.

I would be changing the oil before 6,000 miles if you drive it hard at all

You don't need oil pump gears or bigger radiator either

Gas mileage shouldn't be much different than stock in normal driving

You didn't mention if it's manual or auto that does make a difference whether u definitely need oil pump gears. I would get them anyway for insurance but if you have manual like me u need to get the oil pump gears. If u bang off the rev limiter too much u risk breaking them. Also u need catch cans on both sides and a 170° thermostat. Your gonna love that whipple, I have the 3.5 pulley and 120mm throttle body and it's a BEAST!
