I am ready to get rid of the resonator and there are several options or manufacturers to choose from. You who have installed the X or H pipe, can you please weight in on your thoughts/experiences about the one you chose.

Thanks

If you like the throaty sound over the raspy sound, go H-pipe.

Like roadpilot said, Throaty you want H pipe, Rasp you want X pipe. I have always vouched for the H pipe. Currently have the Steeda H pipe and love it,

I have yet to find the the xh version. X upfront just after the downpipes and where the exhaust comes together (before the suitcase) and then an h (after the suitcase) at the rear just before [the] bendy transitions to the cans.

I went to a local Exhaust shop, been using them for 20 years, and they custom fabricated an h-pipe for my car. Sounds great! Cost was $500.00 CDN, around $365 US) including tax.

I’ll stand alone and Pitch the X-Pipe! 😆😂😆 Had it come with my Ford Performance Catback Sport Exhaust for my S550 and I loved the pitch and sound!! Had lots of burbles and some pops when the weather was cold enough in South Texas (Houston).

The S650 has an Awesome sound imo, and I get lots of compliments on the sounds as well. Lots of pops with the S650 since exhaust has been redone. Guess you can’t go wrong with either but mostly everyone likes the H-Pipe sound. Both are Great additions.

H Pipe as well for me, like the deeper tone vice the more raspy on the X pipe.

H pipe is in the lead. I thought I wanted the X pipe but I think I will go H.

I vote H-pipe. Steeda has a very good video comparing both on a 2024 Mustang GT with Active Exhaust. You can discern the difference between the two.

What is the advantage of having a shop make one if they are readily available cheaper pre-made and ready to ship? Lighter aluminum option going that route possibly?
