I happened to check my Ford Pass app today and see that a recall was issued yesterday for my car. Here is the info.

Campaign/NHTSA#
24S36/AWAITING

Issue Date
2024-06-03

Description
On your vehicle, the hydraulic clutch pressure line may not be properly retained to a locating stud on the dash panel. A line with improper retention may contact hot exhaust components and melt, leaking hydraulic fluid.

Safety Risk
A leaking clutch pressure line will not impact the volume of brake fluid in the brake system, so you will not observe an impact to brake function. However, this condition can impact the brake fluid supply in the clutch and can result in an inability to change gears. If leaked hydraulic fluid accumulates near a sufficiently hot surface, you may observe smoke and experience an under-hood fire. An under-hood fire increases the risk of injury.

Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect the clutch line free of charge. The clutch line will be located properly and in most cases that will close the recall. However, in the case the clutch line on your vehicle must be replaced, your dealer will replace the clutch line with parts available. If parts are not available andor backordered, you will be offered a rental until parts are available.

Next Steps
Contact your local dealer and schedule a maintenance appointment. To find your local dealer, use the "find a dealer" feature below.

I am currently trying to setup a service appointment.

EDIT: Thanks to @RiksDH we have the below service procedure printout

*I apologize is this isn't the right spot for this post or if someone already started one*

Just scheduled my service. They can't take me until July 18th! Hopefully I'm not currently experiencing the issue because July 18th might be too late!

I had no idea under hood fires could cause injury

There certainly is nothing stopping you from looking under the car to see if anything that looks like a brake line is touching the exhaust... better safe than sorry! I'd be looking right now if I had a M6... I can work a zip tie in the meantime, lol.

I was under my GT M6 just last night to install the air defectors (strakes) that were missing at delivery. While I was under there I noticed a metal retaining clip that was obviously supposed to be pushed onto a threaded stud that was right there. I just pushed it on and didn't really even think about it. I couldn't even say if it was a wire, a hose or a hard line. The recall reads like it's under the hood but who knows. I may take a second look...maybe I just performed a recall and didn't realize it.

If anyone can take a picture of what it's supposed to look like i'll have a look at mine when i'm back home later this week.
I'd rather not take it to the dealer until i really need to so if i can confirm it's good, they can wait to see it.

"...the hydraulic clutch pressure line may not be properly retained to a locating stud on the dash panel..."

I'd visually check the line end-to-end for anything (loose connector leaking, missing attachment, damp area, etc.) while focusing on the area highlighted above.

I'm not involved in the recall. But I am thinking what I'd do.

BCM programming? Pfft. Whatever. The possibility of loose or insecure connectors involving a flammable liquid? That gives me pause.

My current line of thought is to visually inspect the line thoroughly, without touching anything. I want absolutely zero mis-understanding of who did what. Who touched what.

My next and only drive would be to the dealer. Depending on what I found, I might not drive it until a Ford Tech inspected and performed the specified recall actions. I realize that might not be an option everyone.

Ford is offering their mobile service in more and more areas. I was involved in a simple recall recently and relied on that; they had a 20-mile / 32 km range limit. Things went very well. Everything done at home with a fellow gearhead.

YMMV.

Best Wishes to everyone involved.

Edit,

Like many, I've been involved in safety-related recalls, different vehicles, different manufacturers. My experience for all was, once the vehicle was given to the dealer, it didn't leave their hands until the recall action was accomplished. It appears Ford has a similar policy. " If parts are not available andor backordered, you will be offered a rental until parts are available."
