With all the cars sitting on US lots, maybe they could just strip the engines and gearboxes out of those for us . But Ford would prob say, nah those are LHD engines and gearboxes, like left handed scissors.

Hey Stevie, given your location any chance you could sneak into the holding pen at Pt Kembla and grab a few shots for us (or run a drone over it).

Sorry for the late response Deano, I will try to have a snoop tomorrow, although I notice on Google Maps, there is a Security Gatehouse to negotiate.

They also usually get moved to a holding area at west Dapto / Kembla Grange.

........................."In fact, according to the German publication Auto Bild, Recaro Automotive has filed for bankruptcy in Esslingen District Court, a move that apparently came as a surprise to everyone – including its employees and the union that represents many of them, IG Metall. At the moment, this doesn’t exactly spell the end of Recaro Automotive, as it intends to exhaust every option to right the financial ship and continue on as it has for years, however. This move doesn’t impact Recaro Group, which makes things like child safety seats, aircraft seats, and gaming chairs.

Recaro actually got its start way back in 1906 as a coachbuilder called Reuterr Carosserie, providing car bodies for Porsche and Volkswagen. However, in 1963, it shifted its focus to making car seats and changed its name to Recaro, and in the years since, has made quite the name for itself in that regard. In addition to a host of performance-focused OEM models that have featured Recaro seats over the years, the company has also supplied numerous units to the aftermarket, including those dedicated to racing use....................."

I have ordered recaros in my GT. Recaro is in self administration, allowing them to restructure on there own, but under count supervision.

Good Luck - Lets hope Recaro can restructure and recover from their current financial woes, and without impacting on their suppliers, their suppliers willingness to continue their supply (credit?) and usual production volumes.

It could mean more delays.

It will be interesting for mustang opitions and current orders, they manufacture seats in the USA, in Michigan in fact.

I wouldn't be shocked to see recaro, sold to a Chinese entity, as the brand itself has alot of name equity.

Could be an excellent opportunity for Ford - especially with the Michigan location, to acquire an important production asset with such an impressive market cachet.

The Ariana arrived in Sydney 2 days ago, now it is moored in Melbourne and will depart for Fremantle tomorrow.

So I see it’s just left Melbourne and is on its way to Fremantle now.
Does it then stop at Adelaide on the way back or have they offloaded the cars in Melbourne to be trucked to Adelaide?

Just had a look at an Atlas Blue GT at Sinclair Ford Penrith. Very Nice. Off the Ariana at Port Kembla and 4-5 days into dealers yard. I hope that speed of delivery out of Port continues for everybody.
