Sadly folks my GT has decided it doesn’t want to come home just yet 😩. The Dealer (who has been fantastic) informed me today (collection day) that the drivers side door now no longer wants to unlock with remote or from the interior. Anyway first world problems and nothing the dealer can do. My baby now sits waiting for a diagnosis.

I have to say, the aftermarket has been very slow getting started with S650. I guess they have been holding off until cars have started to arrive. In the meantime, they miss out on sales from those who would like to buy parts in advance. Strange.

Well it's 8 weeks today till my ETA and no vessel name on Vista yet, she's just sitting on the dock of the bay.

In the mean time I'm checking out what size spacers to put on it when it arrives (can't afford to change the wheels yet), thinking 1/2" would be enough based on these photos.

Is there anyone in Aus with an S650 that's measured the space available yet?

How can you have an accurate ETA if they don't know which boat it's on, and when it will leave?

Are these images useful to you Deano?

Gotta love ALM's concrete slab in the garage.

Method: Tape measure straight out, and camera looking straight down at 90°.

The ETA I was given, months before the vessel was known, ended up being 8 days after the vessel finally arrived at my local port, and 7 days before I was driving it out of the dealer's yard.

My vessel did spend 4 days loitering just off Panama (strangely, after it passed through the canal) for who-knows-what reason AND then 3 days loitering off Brisbane before getting a berthing slot at the port.

Once the damn thing is built, I'd say the logistics estimations aren't too shabby, +/- delays with the shipping.

If it weren't for the shipping delays, the ETA into my hands would have been spot on!
YMMV, of course.

The ETA is just an estimate but it's hovered around 21st to 24th Dec since June and I'm hoping it'll be on one of these two vessels (preferably the Tosca)

Edit: ETA is to the dealer, it'll take them a few days to prep it

Just be careful and do your research. With the S550's, the studs were different between the Magneride cars and the standard cars. I think you had to use at least a 1 inch spacer if you wanted to avoid cutting the studs.

Also spacers are illegal in Australia. I know many people that use them and none that I know off have ever had a problem, but better to be aware of it.

Thanks bfets will keep an eye out for it. Sounds like I should take it somewhere and check it instead of ordering online and doing it myself.

This vid from Steeda is a good reference for Mustang owners if anyone else is thinking of doing it
