Yes i meant the particulate filter, they go by one of three names depending on manufacturer or location, Can be Otto (OPF, German / Euro) Gasoline (GPF, American) or Petrol (PPF)
Interesting then that you have less power than the Americans by being RHD and yet in the EU where we have the filters LHD/RHD are both the same power. Your fuel is probably still better than theirs.

Good luck to all of those with a segmentation date at the end of June, as Flat rock is shutting down for the first two weeks of July slipping from one side of the shutdown to the other would be unfortunate.
As the day gets closer things start to get a bit more chaotic, mine was supposed to be built on a tuesday, but then the week before that slipped to thursday. It was actually built on a wednesday it passed QA on the friday and was shipped out by sunday.
Arrived at the docks the following friday.
Yeah not sure why either we are slightly de tuned than the US market but luckily we aint as bad as EU tuned and I suspect maybe because we have a small margin market in AU than EU?.

I do notice when it comes to safety and emissions for the Aussie market we follow European guideline for example the trucks we have coming into Australia have to be Euro 6 compliance, I am driving the Volvo FE Euro6 and it has SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and Diesel particulate Filter together the Euro 5 had SCR technology only. Can't wait what they bring out on Euro 7... 😏

Out of curiosity, I was looking at the Wallenius Wilhelmsen schedules.
https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules

Although the Baltimore > Australia schedule only goes out to 11th August, it appears their RORO vessels are traversing this route every ~2 weeks.

Based on the early "October" delivery, this is a guess!
(note this vessel arrives in Freo on October 6)

I'm assuming we allow 1-2 weeks for logistics to pass quarantine, get to the dealer, and be readied for customer handover?

Of course, if a miracle happens, and it's on a vessel before that, great!

Just received following email from Ford

We’re happy to be contacting you with some exciting news.

Your brand new Ford Mustang has been built and has left our Flat Rock Plant in Michigan.

It will now be transported to Baltimore Port in Maryland, where it will board the next available vessel destined for Australia.

Our logistics team is working around the clock to get your new Ford shipped as soon as possible. However, as your Dealer would have mentioned, global shipping congestion continues to present a challenge for the automotive industry. As a result, transportation delays may affect when you get your new Ford.

We’ll be in touch again when it is on a ship and on its way. You can also contact Coffey Ford for an update on the delivery time of your new Mustang, by quoting your NSC order number: XXXX. Please be aware that due to current shipping issues. Coffey Ford may have limited information about the status of your vehicle.

Thanks for your patience.

Looks like the 24.xxMY Mustang balances out on October 11.

Any builds after that will be 25MY.

Wondering if my dealer has either stuffed up or bumped my order back?

Placed a deposit for a GT Nov '22. Selected options March '23.

Knowing about the delays from this forum I haven't been pestering the dealer much, but I called recently to hopefully get a segmentation date, VIN etc but he had no info to share other than a stock code and said maybe late this year or maybe early next!

I haven't received any correspondence from FA.

Do you guys think this is a bit odd, or are others that ordered a GT around this time in the same position?

Cheers.

Did the dealer say how many orders there were before you?

Nope, the lack of information, and updates seems to be normal.
I think the dealers also get frustrated with the information flow, or lack there of.

People who have had orders in since late 2022 (and some even earlier, who missed out on getting an S550) have had their order details changed several times.

ie; I originally had a January (2024) segmentation, then that became April, and then it was delayed yet again.

Some have received the email advising of the Ford Performance jacket waiting for them.
It's an unpredictable mixed bag.

Welcome to the Odd Club.

I actually contacted Ford after recieving an automated email stating the car had been built just to confirm pricing and was advised I'd get a return call to provide information ASAP (that was almost two weeks ago)

I understand the dealerships are probably not as in the loop as one would think but the fact alot of us are getting ZERO proactive information is genuinely a laugh.

I came to that conclusion towards the end of last year!

I am correct!!!
My car has been allocated with the vessel name ANIARA which has left Baltimore on 15/06/24.
Can't wait to see it by the end this August.
