Picked up my GT today

Glad (edited - not sad as I first thought because I was looking at night)to see that we seem to miss out on the Mustang models over the years Easter Egg on the rear window

initial thoughts

- panel alignment good. The only thing I can be picky about is the hood - will ask dealer to realign

- pony puddle lights no working. Confirmed they’re turned on in the lighting options. Will review with my dealer

- coming from a S550 this thing is like going from a black and white tv to colour. I love it. It’s so sweet to drive. Interior surfaces are soft vs the very hard ones in my S550

- it looks better when you’re in it to what you see in photos. The cockpit is great

- start button not aligned for RHD is no big deal

- drift/electric brake takes a little to get used to but it’s great

- touch screens are very responsive but I have had some lag between DAP to Spotify to TuneIn

- there’s a big sensor patch on the windscreen. For insurance purposes make sure you have OEM part cover

- Exhaust tips are awful. Someone describe as baked bean tins and that was spot on. Can’t wait for options for that

In all you won’t be disappointed

Hey all - finally heard from my dealer for the first time today (ordered in December 2023 - expected delivery was July 2024 lolz) and just wondering if anyone else is in the same position - he said he’s heard from ford, it’s now going to be a 2025 model and there’s going to be a 3 grand price increase
Aligns with what my dealer said today when I collected mine

He said lots of orders being pushed back into 2025 with no explanation and loss of colours and option of black pack.

All the media reports say $2K price increase so I reckon there’s a $1K increase there on dealer delivery.
Pics pics pics pls

will do tomorrow

2024.5 S650 GT Manual in Vapor Blue,
I ordered in early November, had a segmentation date in July & no vista updates since.
I am also waiting on a vapour blue GT manual with Black Pack.
I have reached out to the dealer to get an update as I am quickly losing faith that it is indeed coming at all!

My seg date is 16th Sept, I am hoping like hell my order doesn't need to change cause I want Atlas Blue and the black pack.

I asked for an update today for mine, got a vista shot back.

my Seg date is Sept 13th with an ETA of Dec 14th

I don't have a black pack on my vehicle, but our Seg dates are really close together.

I finally got a Vista update this week. My car has been sitting in Baltimore since 11 July but delivery has been pushed back again to mid November with no shipping details.

@AussieBob we are probably on the same boat (pardon the pun). My car has also been in Baltimore since 11 July. Got a new Vista screenshot yesterday. No shipping details, ETA 7Nov. I'm in WA.
If you look at the schedules at www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules, there aren't many options to get my car here by that time. Except if it's on the Tysla which left yesterday. I'm hoping my car is actually on that ship , and maybe Vista just hasn't updated yet. Will be bugging the dealer for another update probably end of next week to see if anything changes in Vista.

Asked him to email me through whatever he has from ford so I can review, it’s been 4 days and I’ve not received anything, at this point I’m wondering whether to turf this dealer

for info purposes I’d ordered the GT, vapor blue with the black pack
Should only be 2k more thats what I am quoted with 2025.

Yeah when I flew off the handle the dealer said he could pay for some of the increase but not all, I’m sure he meant that additional dealer fee

I too thought my puddle lamps weren’t working. They seem quite temperamental. The car needs to be locked and in full darkness when you approach it. Even then sometimes they don’t light but the head/tail lamp display operates.

My GT has these cars on the bottom of the rear window.

is there supposed to be something else?

The park brake handle spring is a lot heavier than expected. Not ideal for a manual in traffic, but there’s a great setting worth turning on called Auto Hold which applies it automatically.

can be a bit laggy to release though.

Exhaust tips can cut your hands easily when washing if not careful.

One thing I can’t figure out if it’s normal or not is multiple series of clicks from relays in the brake control module. Thought it may have been relays behind the dash, but if I pop the bonnet and put my hand on the module I can feel the clicks.
I would expect a few but it happens a lot, say if you open a door or unlock or at random times after shutting down.
would ask the dealership but we all know the standard response to anything is “that’s normal “ unless you can prove otherwise.

If anyone can let me know if theirs is doing the same or not it would be much appreciated!

I would say those clicks are normal. We have a 2023 Escape and the S650 Mustang shares some hardware like indicator and wiper stalks and the light controls are also similar. Once I park it in the garage we get those clicks which seem random and I believe it is related to ABS and probably other safety systems. I found if I lock the car there are fewer clicks.

Enjoy the new baby!

Hi All,

Here are some shots of a couple of GT's at my dealer a few weeks ago - these are pre wash photos. Looks good in white and carbonized grey in person. Noticed a few panels weren't exact on the grey one.

They let me take photos and videos, sit in one, start it up and have a play. Didn't sit in there long cause I'm sure the owner wouldn't appreciate that. Got a video of them giving it a rev but can't post cause his dealer plates were on it by that time, sounds sweet in drag mode :)

Both of these have the black pack but no magneride. The white one was in shadow so you can't appreciate it as much in these pics, it looks good but still happy with Atlas Blue as my choice, Carbonized Grey was my 2nd choice.

Some pics are repeats from number plate holder thread.

They also a cleaned up one at the back of the showroom buried amongst a bunch of rangers. It was also Carbonized Grey but fully optioned (black pack, magneride and Recaro's) - looks bloody awesome. Kinda wish I ordered Recaro's now - such is life.

Think it was the dealers car.
