Kinda hoping mine does the same to avoid Port Kembla. However it's got to get through Melb first

Melb looks to be worst hit with complete stoppage of Qube stevedoring services from 0700 13th Jan to 0700 27th Jan (2 weeks).

Bris will be stopped from 8th-14th Jan

Port Kembla will be stopped from 8th-16th Jan

Darwin and Adelaide have no 24hr stoppage but a sort of go slow

No mention of Freo stoppages in this article (published yesterday)

https://www.worldcargonews.com/news...-ports-sal-calls-for-government-intervention/

Does anyone know if QUBE exclusively handle Ford shipments or does DP world and others handle stevedoring of Ford stock as well?
FYI, strike action has ended but there maybe delays due to backlog:

17/1/25

Australian freight forwarder International Cargo Express (ICE) has warned of backlogs at Australian ports affected by strikes against terminal operator Qube.

The union campaign against Qube – ongoing for months at ports including Brisbane, Kembla, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Fremantle – ended this week, following the Maritime Union of Australia’s (MUA) decision to lift protected industrial action on Wednesday.

ICE said that, while this marked a positive step forward, “the widespread delays in loading, unloading and transporting goods have created a significant backlog, expected to impact supply chains in the short term”.

Indeed, automotive reporter Drive reported more than a dozen car-carrying vessels – an estimated 36,000-plus vehicles – were waiting offshore early this week, unable to dock due to the stand-off between union and terminal operator.

Delivery update.
My dealer informed me today that the mustangs that were on the Toska and Tortugas were delivered to Melbourne and are now held in quarantine without any current release date. Hopefully the quarantine process won’t take forever.

Was this the Mustangs for NSW, that were diverted from Pt Kembla to Pt Newcastle which were apparently rescheduled to be unloaded there from Sat 11Jan - Tues 14Jan?

Anyone with cars on Tijuca - it's moseying on down the coast to Brisbane at the moment, who knows when it'll dock though.

I just received a similar notice from my dealer.
So it is the NSW cars off the Tortugas and Tosca that were diverted to Melb from Newcastle after being diverted from Pt Kembla, and now held there (Melb) in quarantine - with no release date..

Apparently they will eventually be transported back to Pt Kembla, before distributed to dealers.

Bugger, my vessel (Parsifal) is parked off the coast of Melb and is supposed to be in Pt Kembla on 28th Jan. It's been hanging around for 2 days already.

It's possible they'll offload Parsifal's NSW bound cars in Melb to avoid Pt Kembla and ship them with those that came off the Tosca and Tortugas.

Time will tell.

Yeah that’s the ones, 380 of them apparently. I believe they may be distributed to NSW dealers straight from the Melbourne distribution centre once released from quarantine. Frustrating waiting for them to arrive, my Dark Horse was scheduled for delivery before Christmas.

Tijuca is pulling up anchor from Brisbane tomorrow, and is meant to dock in Kembla on 01-02. But looking at the ship movements list for Kembla and Newcastle, there's no mention of Tijuca, at all haha

Scratch that, it's headed to Pt Kembla, presumably because the strike action has been called off. Only two days late, which is refreshing. Prob won't get to the dealer by 5th Feb as Vista indicates, more like 7th or 8th.

Yep, the ETA in my signature tells my Vista story :)

However I just checked my vessel location and it's gone past Port Kembla and is steaming north at 15knots. The WW schedule has it arriving at Port Kembla on 30th Jan and the Port Kembla schedule (in my previous post) also has it arriving that date so I'm now officially confused.

Wouldn't have thought it would go that far past Pt Kembla at that speed if it's supposed to just be hanging around waiting for a berth.

Mine is on Carmen, when I asked dealer what boat and then I looked it up I was just like seriously I have had so many delays and now it's on the boat that takes a month longer than all the other ships.

Mine is Port Kembla so I won't see it till early March. If it was on the boat that left 3 days earlier I would have it very soon.

The Carmen is about to dock at Durban, Sth Africa. Then will set off for its long journey across the Indian Ocean for Fremantle.
It’s starting to get real.

Was worried about nothing, Parsifal has docked at Port Kembla exactly 650 days since my order, now get me the damn keys.

Good luck - although the situation seems to have improved, you may need it !
