I agree it would be very interesting to see the sales #'s broken down into EB, GT and DH but I've never seen those #'s published anywhere. I guess Ford keeps that info close to the vest:)
Are your vehicle registrations not publicly available? In the UK they are (not via Ford) but from vehicle registration details nationally.

If I wanted to drive Eurotrash, I wouldn't be on these forums. Just my $0.02.
BMW M2 and M4 are the nearest you will get to a Mustang in Europe but really quite different in reality. They are also very expensive with very expensive options in comparison.

They are great cars but have reliability issues (especially when older) image issues (BMW drivers in the UK are a certain 'type') and are expensive to maintain with strong dealer service rates.

Personally they have never done it for me at all.

But I recently found a new 24 GT, 6 spd. with high package in a nearby state. I negotiated it down to $39,600 plus tax and fees. A lot of car for the money.
And that's still a good deal. It's the $65,000 Mustangs that are out of hand.

Look at the c8. Total respect everywhere. Why? Bevause GM finally built a truly great car. It performs like a lambo. But it’s cost a fraction of one. Before this, the vette was the ultimate joke, relegated to the mullet crowd and only retirees.

Now? It’s a hot ticket, even to people who would never buy one.
It was also referenced in the GT500 thread but Porsche did the same thing with the 911. They both continued to update obsessively and protect the car at all costs.

It’s well known that GM will kill off anything that can remotely compete with the Vette. It’s always seen as crazy, but after seeing some of the convos with Mustang ideas it makes more sense. Lol.

I have to respectfully disagree on this.

Three absolutes have always existed in the car price vs. perceived value continuum:

1.) Everything is relative

2.) You’re pretty much gonna get what you pay for

3.) Value lies solely in the eyes of the guy who just wrote the check

I just bought two nearly identical handling package DHs. (My wife rode in my new manual car and pretty much instantly decided she wanted “her own“ automatic.) Anyway they both stickered in the low 73K range. I consider them to be one of the greatest automotive bargains of my long life and only regret I couldn’t afford a third just to put in mothballs for a rainy day.

The low sales don't agree with you. And, for $73k you can get a Corvette that outclasses the DH in every way.

The Mustang has always been the "economy" performance car. Cars like the LX were amazing bargains.

Also curious how many of these are ecoboost vs GTs/Dark Horse; writing is on the wall IMO
agreed. No one wants to pay new money for old stuff. It’s ridiculous.

ford thpught they were playing it safe and relying on the gullibility of the masses instead they turned most people off.

tragic really.

they’ve got to be bitter when they look at GM these days getting their halo nice and shiny with the still new c8.

the potential of the mustang is still huge. But only if they invest in the dang thing. Slapping on some new lights and an extra throttle body isn’t “all new” no matter what the marketing cronies say.

enough of this ancient platform. Time to move sheesh strongly with a new, lighter, stronger platform to get things started on the right foot.

I remember in the older days the V6 model sold quite a bit more than the V8, but I remember also reading that in recent years it was closer to 50/50

Now, looking at Cars.com and searching the whole country for 2024/2025's that are on the lots, the breakdown looks like:

Lots of leftover GT's for the 2024 model year:

183 Dark Horse
470 EcoBoost
1,330 GT

Much closer for the 2025 model year:

337 Dark Horse
1,234 EcoBoost
1,628 GT

Also 4,211 autos to 935 manuals

A new platform isn't coming tomorrow no matter how many times you say this a day lol The new platform is supposedly 2030.

So why do you keep spouting the same rubbish over and over - we are indeed nauseous
LOL. You discredited yourself so often for so long, the only nausea is coming from your own stench. Go post on some tea time forums and be happy. Life is too short to carry around whatever baggage you try to offload here.

All you have to offer is “it’s all doomed.” And then follow us around nipping at our heels in your replies, even when you get a “bite,” it’s all gums and no teeth. Just more drivel like the post I’m replying too.

min talking about the logical timing, whether 2030, etc. a new platform is a necessity period, whether it’s 2028, 2030, etc.

It also remains true that this generation is a dud. As long as it continues, its failure continues. That’s the reality.

Stop trying to move the goalposts. It doesn’t work like that.
