For my fellow Aussies...

I was working in Houston all of last week, and after that finished, dropped in on a mate (another ex-Melbournian!) who now reside in Dallas, enroute back home.

You've probably heard the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas"?
Believe it!

He took me to one of his local Ford dealerships.
A quick pictorial of what I saw follows.

First up, Mustang VIN 001.
Out of the museum, and on display here, .

And this is this dealer's S650 version of 001 on offer:

Locals might recognise the "FS" branding, belonging to Five Star Ford.

A California Special.
You'll either love or hate the blue accents.

Me, meh...

With the strut tower brace, something we miss out on down under. :curse:

An RTR Spec 2 in Dark Matter Grey.
Another thing that still irks me with the FoA ordering "process", was never being able to order the GT rear wing spoiler along with MagneRide. :explode:

I like the idea of how the RTR duckbill spoiler completely replaces the OEM spoiler delete panel.
Although I was never 100% keen on the look of a duckbill, this offers a really clean install, with no drilling of holes (read as: potential moisture issues and rust spots).
Having now seen this in person, I really like it. :like:

Hmmmm... I wonder how this would look, matched to my Oxford White body colour. 🤔

Got to sit in the RTR briefly.
No, the screens do not get in the way, as wildly speculated by the haters early on.

OK @bfets @IIIdtpIII etc, I know your eye went to what was behind the RTR...

This Darkhorse has a Whipple kit fitted.

Also noticed some Ecoboosts in Oxford White outside.
I'm specifically looking at decal ideas to dress up my own OW GT.

Yep, when it comes to choice and sheer scale of things, it's very different over in 'Merica.

And no, my wheels last week wasn't anything flash, just a Hyundai Kona! :giggle:

Ooohh nice! What a privilege to be able to see all those special cars in one spot. Very glad to hear you having good initial impressions and that you are not put off by the new interior. I cannot wait!

I would have taken more detailed pictures, but to be honest, 'like a kid in candy store', I was just overwhelmed seeing all of this in the one showroom for the first time.

We had the Service Director (Parts/Service Mgr) show us around. The Darkhorse was already sold, and they don't normally open those up to sit in... so very lucky. :like:

I'm jealous! I was supposed to be in Fort Worth next week but my trip got cancelled.

Those pics look awesome and I will definitely have to drop in there on my next trip. Being able to look over a range of options and see what you like would be amazing.

If you can, do it.
Five Star Ford, Dallas
I don't know how long the 001 is going to be on display there, and we were invited to check out the upstairs exhibition as well, which we managed to completely forget to do before leaving.

I'm back in the US in 10 weeks, and have the option of going through DFW again. Hmmm....
