Any OTA updates yet?

I seem to remember that Ford stated some bugs would be fixed with an OTA update in January? Maybe it wasn't OTA but requires a dealer visit?

If you go to Page 292 in the 2024 Owners Manual, you'll be given a map of the Body Control Module (BCM)-A unit fuse panel. Fuse #8 is in-line with powering the car's Telematics Control Unit. Removing that fuse will disable the systems and software of concern, without affecting the drivability of the car.

If you use the Ford Pass App, you will lose functionality with that app. Ford Pass uses Telematics to talk to the car and retrieve information.

Bricked? As in can't start/can't drive?

I've been a member of the F150 forums for many years and have had my current '21 F150 for three years. There are two threads over there with over 32K (combined) posts relative to Power-Up updates (OTA), using FRDS and a Mongoose to program very module in the truck, and using FORSCAN on them. Not one single time has a vehicle been BRICKED (unable to start/drive) due to an OTA (or manual update OR a ForSCAN update for that matter).

Friendswood, eh? I lived in the Houston area a total of about 8 years. Cypress-Fairbanks, Alief, and Sugarland areas.

Yes been here since 1989, moved from Pittsburgh and never looked back. I love the town and love the weather, even the triple digit temps/humidity. Any time it drops below 60, I'm complaining!
