I tried to install the rear fog light but it is not plug and play as they said.

I found out that the connector on the USA part has a metal pin on the right and the EU version has a metal pin on the left.

If the metal pin is not there, it is plug and play.
Ford only did this so that during the assembly they will not place the wrong part on the car.

So now I have to find out how to remove that metal pin and place it on the other side to make it plug and play.

Anyone knows how that works?

FINALLY!!

The first US to EU conversion on the internet!

I filmed the whole process and will upload it to my Youtube channel.

Side mirrors with turn signals INSTALLED! ✅️
Rear fog light INSTALLED ✅️

- Side mirrors were plug and play. This was the biggest surprise because no one on the internet has ever done this conversion so I didn't know what to expect.

- Rear fog light I was told it was plug and play but that was not very true. The EU socket on the rear fog light was different than the USA socket, so I had to do a minor change to make it work.
Also I had to change some Forscan lines to make the fog light work. I'm super happy that the fog light yellow logo lights up on the dash when enabled.

My car is now 100% Europe proof and I can ship it to Europe and get it pass the inspection and have it registered without paying thousands of Dollars to garages that all told me that they had to add wires and all other lies just to charge more working hours.

@roket @rugedraw
@Sofa King thanks for assisting me during my research and making my life easier by providing diagrams and all other infoemation to make me more confident in what I was doing.

Before this conversion I never even holded a ratchet or a screwdriver in my hands. My fiest ever working with tools was doing this conversion on a car I spent my whole savings on LOL.

I bought all tools a few days before doing this conversion and I had no idea what those tools were for.

YouTube and help from the forum made me do my own European conversion.

May I say that I' proud of myself?

Thanks everybody!

No problem. How did you get your registered without doing the rear fog light?

Also another question. Your dealer tapped wired from your headlight to make the front turn signals blink at the same time. I think there was no tapping or altering in your wires needed to do that.

When you use the hazard light, all blinkers go on and off at the same time without being it sequential. If this is possible when using the hazard lights it's also possible when using the left or right turn signal. I guess this is just a matter of Forscan.

My Mustang is registered in Switzerland, therefore no EU and not needed. But anyway a good thing to have. I also got away with the red turn signals.

Regarding the front signals you might be right, they most likely had no idea about forscan. Would be nice to figure out, just in case.

Nice, I like the red turn signals more. Not because of the color, but because they don't have that small orange block below the tail lights.
