Hello all. I have a 24 DHorse P and wondering if I can add Front: 305/30R19, Rear: 315/30R1 tires on my Wheels that I have on there now, which are 255/40/19F and 275/40/19R. And adjustments do I have to make to add the 305 and 315 Tires. Thanks.

If you are looking to build your own DH Premium (with Handling Pack style) check out LMR.

They have an SVE DHP1 Forged Wheel which looks pretty damn close to my Handling Pack rims. Those are 19x10.5 FRONTS (for your 305) and 19x11 REAR (for your 315). I'm been looking at selling my handling pack rims and tires and picking up a set of these in 19" Gloss Black.

You can also check out Velgen. I've got their 20" rims and the last time I brought the car out I had a couple of people actually walk up to me to ask me specifically about the wheels. Not many folks around my parts have the VF10 and they turn heads. I've got 20x10 Front and 20x11 REAR with 285s in the front and 315 in the rear.

Another consideration. You didn’t mention which tire brand you are switching to. Makes a difference. Example: Michelin Pilot Sports have a straighter side wall than the Pirelli Trofeo’s, resulting in more tread width with a “smaller” Michelin tire. If you’re not careful, you may end up with a tire that fits a given wheel but the tread is wider & sticks out past the fender. Go to tirerack.com. The have the specs for all the tires that show the rim sizes that the tire will fit, the section width of the tire, the tread width, the diameter, and the revolutions/mile. Compare. I saw lots of pics of cars with aftermarket wheels/tire that looked like they would rub.
So, I took 2 pieces of blank paper & taped them together lengthwise. Then I drew the dimensions of my stock wheels. On that, I marked the midline & then the offset of my stock wheels. From there, I drew section & tread width of my stock tires. This was my reference that I knew would fit my car. From there, you can compare drawings of other wheel offsets & different tire sizes. I was surprised to find that some “smaller” tires were wider than my fenders.
I ended up going from Pirelli Trofeo RS 305/30/19 & 315/30/19 to Michelin 285/35/20 & 305/35/20 with more tread on the ground front & back, good full fit, & no rub. Pics on my recent thread

I am having 305/30 x 19 and 325/30 x 19 Michelin PS4 put on next Monday to replace the RS tires. The RS suck in rain, only have 1,000 miles on them so I am either going to sell them or find a set of used wheels for them.

I looked at putting Michelins on my stock HP wheels (19x10.5”, 19x11”) and if I remember correctly, those tires were way outside the fenders. Check carefully.

I have 285.35 x 20 on my S550, square and they fit perfect.

I have 305/30/19 and 325/30/19 PS4Ss on my car and wouldn't say they're way outside the fenders... but they do poke out slightly. I did 9 hard runs at my last autocross event on the setup and had no rubbing issues.

Thanks! I drive mine to the grocery store, so I don't anticipate any issues, but thanks for the confirmation!

Always good to get the straight scoop from someone who’s done it. Better than pics & calculations.

I've been looking at adding the handling pack type Wheels/Tires to my Non-Handling pack dark horse, but I have yet to get a solid answer on which springs to add. You can't do the Handling Pack Wheels and Tires without the lowering springs or the wheel well gap will be massive.

ItalianStallion410 on YouTube runs Steeda sport progressives with his handling pack dark horse. Not a bad fit. I run 20s on those same springs and there is like a finger of gap. Maybe.

If you have base DH wheels, you can go 275/40-19 front and 305-35-19 rear as an option. I moved stock 275 rear Pirelli tires to front and purchased 305/35 Pirelli (Lamborghini) for rear. When these wear out will go Michellins for more tire choices.
