It isn't actually pure Lithium in the battery! It is a Lithium compound! Chemistry folks - go and look it up!The problem with EV is the misunderstanding of the fact that the Lithium batteries are not really recyclable. Only the steel framework of the batteries are recycled. There is nothing they can do with the spent Lithium. They just drop it in an abandoned mineshaft like nuclear waste.
There is no way to reenergize the lithium because it would blow up. Chemistry folks, it is in the same column of other unstable elements like sodium.
And your comment about recycling is just plain wrong! At least do some basic research before spouting misinformation!
