I'm not saying they did double their profit. I said they could have upped the margin per vehicle instead of going after sales volume. By how much, no one except Ford knows. They upped the base GT by a couple thousand this year, but with add ons and packages they upped the price by up to 5k. That could have upped their profit per vehicle by a lot.So how much profit do you think they are making off each car sold if they doubled the previous number?
The Mustang is not a low-volume car that they can milk like that.
They are losing their asses right now on warranty and quality issues so I wouldn't really say they know what they are doing.
Well it's the number one selling sports car so they have an idea of what they're doing. Let's just say no company has done it better.
