While I know I can do it...has anyone just finally just got on it, left some tread behind, and not wrecked their car. I have a 2024 GT Mustang Premium. While I haven't used the burn out mode yet until I need new tires (I only have 5,500 miles on the car), has anyone just took off leaving some rubber on the road? While my car is my daily driver, I love the acceleration. I play with all the modes, but just am curious if anyone does burnouts outs without the drag mode. Thanks.

@akawease ..... I did by mistake as at the time I only had about 1000 miles on it. My friend was beside me at a light with his vette and he jumped on the light. By instinct I I hit the pedal (not even nearly "floored") and left about five feet of burn on the road. That was last June on a day the temp was about 87. I had no worries though these babies can handle that with ease, although I don't do it on purpose. Mine is a 2024 GT too except it's a 'vert.

Those black lines you leave on the road are melted tarmac not rubber. You get much less of a black line on concrete roads to prove the point.
Not if you do a 10 minute burn out.

You all need to live in the desert southwest! For example, it blows here in Roswell, NM to the point, the sky turns brown with dust. Add in the high temperatures to sublime the oil out of the pavement which then mixes with the dirt, and you have ice-like traction. Even braking can become an issue.

I was at the track attack last week and did some 4600 rpm "launch mode" with the Michelin 4s tires and the car "chattered" or bounced a bit, but really fun using their cars.

That's cool and sounds like fun.

Not sure I can get away with a burnout on the M25 to verify this ;p

ETA, in case those who live outside the UK care to know, the only bit of concrete road I can think of is a particularly rough old part of the traffic jam known as the London orbital motorway.

Back on topic, I don't think I could ever bring myself to intentionally leave a pair of 11's, particularly in a manual where you have to be brutal with the clutch to do so.

However they aren't. The Pirelli P Zero PZ4 is on a par with the PS4S
Agree with this. I was prepared to have to replace them pretty quickly, as my prejudice against Pirelli was pretty strong, but I've been very impressed with their performance, even in the low winter temperatures.

In cold wet UK conditions they are better than PS4S and on a par with Continental SportContact 7's

The little nag of an echo from the better half (make it rain, cha ching, cha ching) has dampened the desire to leave evidence of my presence behind.
