Can a owner just turn the vehicle On and make sure it is connected to wifi to start the trigger instead of starting the engine up?
Yes, ignition being turned on without the engine works, but it would have to be left on for a few minutes to give it time to accept the update and download the files.

Wifi is irrelevant. The TCU is what is used to verify the update contents and download the files.

I got a Driver Alert yesterday that I have not seen before. It said something along the lines of "Time to take a break/rest"? Does anyone know if this alert is new on 10.1.0 and what activates this alert? I was yawning a bunch, could that have activated it? Is there a driver facing camera to monitor for driver fatigue?

Look up by your rear view there is a camera mounted there. As for the yawning no idea. Had an 04 gto that chimed and said take a break after about 3 hrs of constant driving.

Were you coloring outside the lines? You know, drifting side to side a bit? We get that in the wife’s Lincoln sometimes.

That's what you get when you take your hands off the steering wheel at speeds over 70 mph. Of course, mine does that and the one about grabbing the steering wheel as well. Sometimes it does that, sitting still. Maybe it is because my hands are clammy, and it thinks I'm dead!

So far, Android auto and Car Play seem to work better.
Now i can swith between both if both phones are in the car and the wrong one is connected.
Also, Android Auto audio was disappearing at random...that also seems to be fixed...so far....
Anyone else noticed this or other things after the update?

I got my 10.1.0 update today. I live in SoCal. Seems like I got mine a month after the initial post here.

I've had plenty connectivity issues before, let's hope this helps.

I'm just above CA in WA State. I've had the car now 4 months and glad to see the update come thru.

Carplay seems more stable with the update. Only odd thing, and this might be normal, but sometimes the bongos don't play but some chime sound instead... Does this mean something? I like the bongos :)

I just got the update yesterday. The chimes would sometimes play instead of the bongos before the update, too. Not often, but I don’t think the update caused it.
