has anyone else noticed an issue where the gear when shifting to "M" only shows up in sport mode and no other mode? or is it just me?

Have my wireless shut down. Really no issues to note with the current version of sync 4 other than my phone being a derp on rare occasion. Ill wait and see how this update plays out. Not a fan of the networked car.

i got that update today too. it added a shift tone for the performance shift indicator (same tone as the 2018+), changed the brightness adjustment screen to the Job 2 one, and maybe added a feature where going across a border into a country that uses a different speed metric brings up a pop-up asking if you want to switch (assuming i didnt add that and just forget). someone please correct me on that last one, it should be under settings > instrument cluster
was only now able to do a sanity check against another Mustang with the 10.1.0 update. everything is true except the border cross thing. that was something i changed, being "considerate prompts" in the IPC and APIM

No, but I enabled CGD via FORScan so the gear shows up all the time.

I bought mine on Aug. 24th 2024 and a week later got an update. None since then and I have no problems but my car is now in winter storage. Make sure your automatic updates are on.

Just FYI: Auto-updates being on is not enough. When an OTA trigger is created on the server for a vehicle, the vehicle must be started in order for the car to ping the server back and accept the update. An OTA trigger is only good for 7-14 days (depending on the update). If the vehicle does not report back to the mothership in that time frame, the OTA trigger will expire and fail.

Edit: Remote start will not work; ignition must be turned on so the TCU boots up.

Interesting. In September I went out to my car and when I started it a message showed up on the screen saying a update had been installed. It happened overnight when I was asleep and the car was off.

Edit: also are you saying if your car is not being used in the winter that the updates expire in 14 days and won't happen until when ???

The OTA trigger must have already been activated and the update installed during its auto updates scheduled time. Below is what an OTA trigger looks like before it is accepted by a vehicle. Under expiration date, it says server to vehicle 12/12/23. Right under that, it says server date 12/5/23. If this vehicle does not ping the server back in 7 days, it times out and fails.

Below is the same OTA trigger on the same car after it was turned on and "consent" was given for the update to proceed to the next step. Now, it says trigger expiration 336 hours (14 days) and expiration date changed to 12/19/23. Once the OTA is accepted, the car has 14 days to download and install it before it times out and fails.

If the update is one that requires to be parked to install, then the OTA trigger will last 30 days in this step instead of 14.

If an update times out and/or fails, there is no way of knowing when it will be resent. It could be days, weeks, or longer.

Can a owner just turn the vehicle On and make sure it is connected to wifi to start the trigger instead of starting the engine up?
