“laying drags,” defined in OCGA § 40-6-251 as causing a vehicle to move in a zigzag or circular course or to gyrate or spin around.

I said don't break traction. Fast acceleration without breaking traction doesn't meet the definition of "laying drags" in OCGA § 40-6-251.

Racing is clearly racing.

Reckless means you don't have control of your vehicle, are weaving in and put of other traffic, or are grossly exceeding the prima facie speed limit.
Good luck to you if you're ever in GA and have a run in with GSP🤣

Yeah, you ain’t lyin’ about that. Those guys take their work seriously. There‘s no way to reason with them so I don’t even try, I’m just condescendingly polite and take what comes.

Even way back in the day when a half gallon of Jack Black in a paper bag and a trip to see the judge would vaporize any ticket not involving bodily harm, it was well-known there was no need to try if the GSP was the ticketing agency. I’ve actually had those guys unholster on me a couple of times even though I was driving a new Honda, wearing a suit and tie and immediately yielded. Granted they were 100 mph stops but still…

You can't beat this forum for amusement. Watching videos, reading a book and BBQing in your cars ....too funny. Would sure let the insurance company off the hook if you rear ended someone......and you know the guy you rear ended would claim back and neck pain for life - it'd be cheaper to just give him your house and buy a tent to live in.

I've read there are some mirror apps, that mirror the things from your phone to the screen.
I've spent literally hours trying to make these work and no luck. The reason in my case is the Android 14 OS /Android Auto app blocking them. Fermata Auto was a great one, but the new android stuff blocks the video part and only plays the audio.

KingInstaller doesn't seem to be able to trick phones into thinking apps downloaded and run via apk file are downloaded via the Play Store anymore either. Shame!

To save you time, if, you're also on Android software don't bother with AA Mirror or Screen2Auto either.

And while I'm here, I thought I'd point out the humor in the virtue signalers stopping by to tell people what they should and shouldn't be doing 🤣 These are the same people who drive faster than the speed limit, text and drive, use track mode NOT on a track, and who call themselves religious but don't go to church on Sundays. Whatever they do is OK and justified, and anyone else who does anything different is wrong.

While I can only speak for a handful of states that I am specifically aware of: As long as you don't break traction (e.g., do a burnout, which is considered reckless driving in most states), there are no maximum or minimum time limits associated with a speeding violation. If the prima facie speed limit is 60 MPH, it doesn't matter how fast you get there as long as you remain in control of your motor vehicle and do not exceed 60 MPH.
States simply can't handle the volume of Karen's driving Teslas who would complain about getting tickets from their microwaves on wheels heating things up too quickly.

"Well I didn't hear it going that fast so I shouldn't get a ticket!"

To add to the original thread with another data point, I use OneCarStereo AI Box and it works well (Amazon link). I didn't find any option yet to make the screen truly full screen -- that is, without the top/bottom menu/aircon controls. Besides that, works well for Netflix, VLC, YouTube, etc.

I use a Naviks HDMI interface now to mirror my phone to the screen. Works great, but it's not cheap.

You do understand, driving and watching videos' at the same time will result in a really bad outcome? That's why many states here in USA have laws against driving and being on cell phone.

Well..............................if you ignore the explosion and giant fireball .............................it's not that dangerous. 😅

For what it's worth, my reason for getting a solution was more to do with when I'm *not* driving, like dropping off kids, waiting for kids class, etc. Yes, obviously watching TV while driving is not a great idea.

It's even more strange that we have to explain ourselves why we want something in our car just to let others know we are not intending to do something illegal.
