I have a "Mobile" appointment with my dealer in a little over a week. The car does NOT need to be at the dealer. They said it should take no more than an hour done in my driveway.
I run my car in "Sport" mode all the time, so Start/Stop never kicks in.
I just figure I'll get both recalls done whenever I finally get around to getting my first oil change. I go right into custom mode as soon as I get out of my parking lot which is set to start/stop off.

You are not required to complete a recall, and the dealer cannot do it without infoming you, and they can't do it if you decline. So if you don't want auto stop start to "work correctly" just ignore it.
Would this affect the warranty in any way (buy ignoring the recall)?

No it does not. If you developed a problem related to it, then we'd have to complete it.

I see this recall on my Ford app as well. If this is to "enable" the auto start/stop then it will remain with an OPEN recall on mine :sunglasses:

I will let you know. I have a "Home"/Mobile appointment next Tuesday to resolve the recall. I run my car in "Sport" mode which disables Stop/Start, as it should per the documentation. If that changes, I'll let everyone know.

Update:
Today my dealer addressed the recall issue. As this was a mobile house call, I watched him and talked with him about the process. It seemed to be totally automated. It took about 15 minutes - moistly waiting for the Ford (FIDS) reader to boot up and read the BCM. I didn't see him do anything special.
I took the car out and ran in Sport mode. No change. I then tried leaving the car in Normal mode. I came to a light and waited in Neutral, Clutch out, and foot on the brake - motor kept running.
As I have always run the car in Sport mode, I have never had the Start/Stop system do its thing.
Is there anyway I can check to see if the "fix" was actually applied?

There is a list of conditions that will keep AS/S from happening.

I had this recall completed last week with my oil change, and I'm seeing the same behavior as before; the Start/Stop system will not activate in any driving mode no matter how long I'm stopped, even on longer drives.

Definitely bragging šŸ˜Š

It doesn't really bother me either way, just wondering if the 'fix' not working means we're gonna get hit with another recall to do it again... The BCM reprogram reset all of my paired devices and customizations which was a bit of a pain.

24E05 is an emissions recall (hence the "E"), and this one is to re-program the BCM to make auto start-stop work properly
You are correct, having it done Tuesday in my driveway via Ford mobile service. Canā€™t do OTA. Service tech said Ford has said that if before it was activated that it might not restart in some cases but I donā€™t know of any 24 GTs that have had it work in the first place, lol

S650 Mustang Recall 24E05 - BCM Needs Reconfiguration? IMG_6957

My letter from Ford Canada arrived this week and has the details. Seems to be 100% about making the auto start/stop work.
