Recaro seats will delete your turn signals. WHY?

Is there something I am missing here? I have a Canadian spec 401a without the Recaro seats and I've never noticed having integrated turn signals in my mirrors?? Is this something my car SHOULD have had or is it just US based cars that have it?

The 401A package comes with turn signals.
But if you choose Recaro seats you will not have turn signals. It's something Ford chose to do.

If you don't have Recaro seats and you have the 401A package you have the turn signals.

I'll have to check my car when I get home from this business trip. I don't have the Recaro seats but I didn't even KNOW these cars had turn signals in the mirrors. I'm guessing mine are there I just never noticed because they look like they are on the front of the mirror and I don't spend a lot of time outside the car with the signals on.

You can not see the turn signals in the mirror from the driver's seat. I was honestly questioning their presence on my DH until I was in another vehicle behind my wife driving the car. I could see them even from the rear of the car at that point.

Huh well what do you know. Guess I never noticed they were there as they blend in with the Shadow Black paint so well. Still interesting they decided to run a whole other SKU without them just for the vehicles specced with Recaros.

Here is why: The regular 401A package comes with the comfy power operated heated/cooled seats that have the memory seat functions as well as the mirror blind spot detection and heated mirrors and integrated turn signals... the moment you option the Recaro seats which are manual only, Ford from the factory production line has to remove the wiring for the memory seats and power controls, therefore also stripping the wiring for the mirrors as well; losing out on your mirror turn signals, ect..
FYI, the Recaro's for the UK, EU and Australia are electric adjustment (except the back recline). Bizarre how it's a feature deemed essential for the export markets, but not the home market, but that's Ford I guess...

Nope, only for RHDs, EU LHD is manual like USDM.

Thanks, I just assumed. Even stranger, then, that they bother with electric adjustment on the Recaros just for the relatively small RHD market.

@snodge
The seats are not that different, you could kit bash electric LHD Recaros with a Premium seat donator.
