youre probably getting mixed up with the Z/28 that was rumored, only 1000 to be made, comes with the vette engine, estimated to be released by end of 2024 (which looking at the current day, im calling BS), and estimated to be 80-90k

however Chevy doesnt have the car listed anywhere on its website so i wouldnt get my hopes up over it even existing
Z28 is a Camaro.

I wonder if they are doing that to keep NASCAR eligibility for teams in 2025. As of now the options are running a Corvette (unlikely) or a Cadillac CT4-V or CT5-V Blackwing. No other cars in their lineup

They will for the foreseeable future, NASCARs rule is the car has to be in production when the car is first homologated. So the camaro is good until the next gen car launches.

Z28 camaro was announced over a year ago in May 2023 and since then nothing else/further has come out about it. There is no recent announcement from any reputable source for a new Camaro so to say 'the cancelled camaro is back' is misleading clickbait

I have been hearing talks of the Camaro coming back as a limited run for 2025 due to some plants sitting idle. It would not be built at the traditional plant. No new design changes noted but would be treated as a last call edition.
There is absolutely NO way that Chevrolet would spend the tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to retool a different assembly plant to produce a limited run vehicle for one year. That's just ludicrous.

I would agree with you that it isn't feasible, but they are pondering the option as a possibility as I have responded to their request to supply components for such. So not that ludicrous as they are doing their due diligence on the matter.

We know. But the 2025 Camaro Z/28 is a car that was announced in 2023 as the last Camaro. Here's the 2023 Car & Driver Magazine about it. Some people looking for clicks are making videos using the Z/28 images claiming its a "new" Camaro.

It is the previous version. It's the Z/28 of the final model year.
There are now more updates, one from the CEO herself with 5 new models including the Camaro.. so I guess we’ll see what happens.
I was surprised myself as before buying the Mustang I tried to order a Camaro because of the V6 at a local dealer but was told nope, closed. Now when I dropped in to ask again because of these adverts they told me “not yet but soon”. So I’m totally confused.

story is complete BS. Bet me?
No chance for any Camaro or Challenger unless BEV or maybe hybrid in years, but I seriously doubt it.

It's not coming back anytime soon. The article was fake wherever you saw it. Whenever it does come back, it'll probably be an electric SUV.

If it's legitimate, it'll be on Motor Trend, Car & Driver, et cetera. Anyone can make clickbait on YouTube, this took me all of 30 seconds:

There won't be a new Camaro for years. GM stated it will come back at some point in the future, but they definitely won't ramp up production of Gen 6 again, the factory stopped producing them in January and should already be assembling other things now.

There actually was a Gen 6 Z/28 in development and you can still find the pictures when the prototypes were spotted, but they cancelled the development.

The next Camaro will be an EV, but believable sources claim that it's still in a very early project stage so it might not release until at least 2027/2028.

If you search for 2025 Camaro there lots of replies now.

It’s difficult to know the actual future. Some say GM says no more EVs, while others claim GM is going all out EVs. Even suggesting the Camaro will become an electric SUV. Who the hell knows.
