with companies like Auto Addicts USA coming out with tail lights, i thought it would be important to let you all know that there are different tail light connectors depending on when your vehicle was made
S650 Mustang The different tail light connectors 1735407330245-ko

above is all 3 of them. left is the North American connector pre-job 2, middle is the export connector, and right is the North American connector post-job 2.

for some reason, Ford decided to change how the stop and turn functions, which could make aftermarket tail lights easier to develop. now, instead of commanding each bar of the tail light individually, i believe the tail light itself does the sequential function, which is how the sequential hazards work, the use the "turn" wiring. this also means that, if someone with an export model wants US tail lights, it's 100% possible with just a short wiring harness that goes from the middle to the right connector, as all the wiring seems to be the exact same, as evidenced by this screenshot
S650 Mustang The different tail light connectors 1735408017202-q

the way this is all structured, it means that its fairly easy to convert between all three connectors. to convert job 1 to job 2/export, get an external stop circuit (probably from the CHMSL), and only connect up the inboard bar's wire. everything else seems to be the same. to convert job 2/export to job 1 is a little more complex, and will require a small microcontroller to take the "stop" signal and "turn" signal to infer context, with "stop" providing power to all three bars at once, and "turn" to light up the bars in sequence.

@Diode Dynamics you guys did the "sequencing" harness for the S550, so here is 2 product ideas for you:
1. wiring harness that converts job 1 to job 2/export connector, with some way to swap between the two connectors
2. wiring harness that converts job 2/export to job 1 connector
both of these can have a switch on them that enables a "sequencing" mode like the S550 harness did.

for those unsure of what one you have, if you want to find out what connector your vehicle has, simply, press the hazards switch and look at how the tail lights react.
if all 3 bars light up together, you have the left connector and a vehicle that is likely a 2024 job 1.
if only the bottom section lights up amber, you have the middle connector and an export model.
if the lights are sequential, you have the right connector and a vehicle that is likely a 2024 job 2, if not a later model year

I’m glad I saw this when I was looking. Hopefully they do the same for me. I installed it but have the different connectors as well.

gotta ask but did your reverse light not work either until you received the adapters?

I never did try it. I just put everything back to stock. I’m guessing the new reverse light would work, but not the running/brake light (obviously). 😊

Yeah so the new reverse light only has two pins instead of the stock three pins, I assume it needs the complete circuit to work (either as a switch or power) but that’s going to be another question I have with Form when they respond about the adapters.

I'm just being lazy and don’t want to swap it back out yet.

This reply reply may sound petty to some and I realize how petty it is, principle is principle though. I purchased and waited 3 months for delivery of all lighting options currently available for the S650. I recently inquired about getting a Form sticker or two to go on my build journal and possibly discreetly on my car. Most vendors are happy to oblige and some send stickers with they're product. It's advertising and everyone has an advertising/marketing budget, right? I offered to pay a small fee if so required, didn't want to, but I enjoyed the lights. Low and behold I recently noticed that I finally got a reply, took awhile, but seems to be a pattern here. Not sending any complimentary stickers, shame as I was hoping to purchase a t-shirt, more free advertising. 5 bucks for a small sheet with three stickers, well whatever it's five bucks might as well see about a t-shirt to go along. If you've made it this far, here's the money shot!!!
$23.00 DOLLARS??? CHEAPEST FKNG SHIPPING OPTION FOR THREE LITTLE STICKERS?? Best part is I get to wait 8 weeks to receive them, pattern. Needless to say, if that's what you think of your customer then I'll make sure to pass it along. There are more and more options emerging now, sooo, instead of stomping off with my head down, I've decided to help with your advertising and marketing with a promotional video uninstalling your lights and installing replacements. Ridiculous isn't it? Over a little sticker I wanted to celebrate your product!

Hey Sean,

I totally understand the frustration here, and I appreciate your patience. Just to clarify—our sticker pack is included for free with all orders, so when your lights ship, you’ll find them in the box.

Also, all our forum threads mention that members can get a free U.S. shipping code by sending us a direct message.

As for your order, I know waiting isn’t ideal, but all items do have estimated delivery and backorder times listed on the website so customers know what to expect before purchasing. If you ever have questions about an order status, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.

Again, I really appreciate your support, and I hope we can turn this around for you!

I didn’t receive stickers with my order and am still waiting for the build two adapters to be shipped out. I sent an email last week wondering status because we are right at the 4 week mark. I bought the reverse light, reflector lights, and side markers. Once again didn’t receive any stickers.

Just double-checked your message and understand now that you're interested in a Form Lighting sticker sheet. It appears @Form Lighting is out of stock and waiting to get a few more boxes in to replenish their stock in the warehouse.

Hopefully, this can be replenished sooner than advertised on their website. However, they offer free US shipping for members too by sending them a direct message here on the forum!

If you order from Diode Dynamics, you should have received a Diode Dynamics sticker sheet.

Form Lighting doesn't include stickers with their orders to our knowledge, they are sold separately.

We do sell Form Lighting products but do not offer their sticker packs. Sorry about that!
