What is the market like on new 2024 GTs right now?

Some dealers want to negotiate and others don’t. Car gurus and true car helped get me gauge the market to find a solid deal. Good luck !!!!!

Most Ford dealers in my area (Scottsdale AZ) offer an instantaneous, non-haggle $4,000+ right off MSRP. I bought my '24 GT Premium 401A for 53k, sticker was 57,900.

Then of course the dealership required $1299 for pre-installed window ceramic tint and nitrogen in the tires.. absolutely bent me over a barrel on those misc items lol.

I just traded in my loaded GT premium with MSRP of $54.5. They have it listed at $46.5 and I’m certain they’d take less. Sure it’s not new (9,500 miles) but it has tint, ceramic coating and factory warranty. There are definitely some good deals out there.
Wow you must've took a bit of a hit on trading in your 24 GT Premium. May I ask why you traded it in already?

Honestly it wasn’t that bad. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t feel like the deal was “fair”. I found a customer order that they didn’t take. It sat for 90+ days and had a good discount on it. I traded for 3 reasons. Had DMG auto no PP, traded for CG Manual and PP.

Thanks for all the advice.

I’ve learned if you find one you like and can get a fair deal it’s best not to mess about, so I just got home with it. GT Premium stickered right at $56,500 and they’d had it less than a week so it was fresh. 11.7 miles on the clock. I don’t think they allow joyrides. I offered 5K off sticker over the phone and they countered at 4.5K off. We split the difference and I thought that was fair so I went and grabbed it. Very nice folks, no BS add-ons and a low doc fee.

Naturally got caught in the rain coming home but I’ll get it cleaned up and post some pics in a few days.

All the dealers suck! Advertising x plan price that you don’t qualify for. Then hit you at 9.9% with a 860 credit score. they offer 5-10k less then they would have to pay at a dealer auction or even carvana trade value!!
tell them your paying cash without a trade and they don’t want to sell you the car? Wtf
Dealerships don't really care about cash deals any more. They make money off the financing. Also, not all dealers suck. You have to build a relationship with them. Maybe it's your tactics!

Its been my experience that those who are suspicious of everyone, are that way because they are sketchy themselves, and can't see why anyone else would not be. If you think all dealers, preachers, lawyers, police or whatever are bad, you are the common denominator, and therefore the problem.

Sorry champ but its not tactics, they dont care about you, don’t kid yourself. they make you believe they care and develop a friendship to control the deal. And you think they did you a big favor? I’m so very sorry but, my tactics are very straight forward. They have saved me a lot of money and time!

I didn't say I think they care about me, maybe try some reading comprehension. Both parties are trying to get the best deal possible. I just don't think they are terrible like you say. Maybe you've had more bad experiences than me, I don't know you. I've gone back to the same dealership for every Ford I've bought over the last 16 years. I walked away happy each time, always paid under MSRP. That includes my '24 GT and '19 GT350.

Some dealers are unrealistic right now, operating with the “sucker born every minute” analogy.

as it is right now, Mustang sales are on the decline.

‘’’any dealer will try to pretend that’s not the case and act like you’d be lucky to even get one. In reality, they’d be lucky to make the sale.

get 3 dealerships working for you at the same time and if any of them give you an unfavorable deal, work them. Then if they are still living in an alternate reality, keep them baited until you have the deal you want with someone else. Then bail on the ones who played the wrong game. It’s your money, you worked hard for it. Make it count. There are plenty of GT and Dark Horse deals to be had. But you’ll have to be bold enough to call their bluff up front.

This sounds like zero fun dealing with 3 different dealers at once. Just ask for the fleet manager. They don't want you there any longer than you want to be there 😂. Sell it at invoice, you get a good deal, they make a little and everyone leaves happy.

spoken like a true car salesman. LOL

that formula has worked for me three times in a row. it’s not bad - especially if you bring friends/family along for the ride and in that case it actually is fun - especially watching people try all their tactics at getting you to lose it’s a comedy show. And when you’re ready to walk away from a bad deal. They’ll keep you there all day trying to wear you down. be prepared for that. Fleet manger is ok so long as they’re not sympathetic to the sales guy. Some of that jive is too easy to see through.

Just don’t work the same general area too much cause some dealers like to watch each others backs. invoice is fair. If it’s much above that, it’s a rip. And never go for markup. That’s just wrong.
