I was considering a Pro Charger and emailed their sales person. I never even got a response. That's all I need to know. Whipple always responds to my questions. Plus my shop tells me that Whippled cars are smoking all the Pro Charger cars here locally. I decided on a stage 2 Whipple after considering everything I could find doing research. The Gen 6 stage 2 Whipple also gets me shifts at 7800 RPMs and I believe raises the speed limiter.

There's only a few reasons I want the Procharger. 1. Don't need raw power off the line, 3.73 and Tremec for that. 2. Procharger kicks in at 3k RPMs, which is great since around town defensive driving is what I do. And freeway speeds the Procharger is great. 3. The weight of Whipple is too much. 4. If the Whipple fails a tow truck is needed, and mostly there'd be major engine damage. 5. The Procharger sets up easily, and if the unit fails the car can be driven. The unit itself can be fixed or replaced easily if a failure occurs. 6. And one of the most important I get to keep my twin tower brace. If I chose to drag race a Whipple would most likely be the top choice. But I hear Ess have been winning top end big time. It comes on strong on the top end. It's going to be a year plus before I build a dragster. Lots of research needs to be done. Choice is S550 lor S650. Mach 1 would be nice. I'm just trying to search and get advice. But that Whipple is monster partially asleep. It will be fully awakened when the ECU is unlocked. Even a Shelby GT350 is being considered. This drag racing car must be an automatic.

The helical cut gears on my Procharger are barely audible. If you run the muffler on the blow-off valve, there is no virtually no noise.

Procharger (or any centri) is simple, reliable, and lighter than a PD, and I have nothing against a PD blower.

My P1X starts pulling hard around 4,500 rpm and makes excellent power with the A10 at virtually any speed in my 2018 GT.

I would run a Procharger w/o hesitation on my 2024 if I decide to go boosted.
Some run the BOV to the intake box. You run it next to the muffler or into the exhaust? I decided on the Bullet closed BOV.

Not trying to sway you back to Whipple, but you can now keep the STB with a Whipple. VMP sells a STB that clears it under the stock hood for about $399

What a black eye for procharger, the cars are already getting long in the tooth and they never made it to market.

And the whipple tune is so good I’ll venture to say there are no gains to be had by aftermarket tuning, shy of a full fuel system.
You can split the block and make 1050 wheel.

Is that why there are no ProCharged S650s on YouTube even though the product launched 6 months ago?

im hoping ESS eventually does whatever ford requires to get in the tuning game. We need a centri alternative. Hellion too for that matter

Whatever Ford used to lock these cars works very very well lol

They're still finalizing their tuning for kits. House of Boost is looking for a manual car to test the kit out right now.

Who is, ProCharger or ESS? Thanks for the info!
Procharger. If I was to guess on ESS they're just going to wait until someone cracks the ECU. So far only the big blower companies have access so that tells me it's all about money at this point.

Ah gotcha. Yup that makes sense. They likely have to pay some type of licensing fee to Ford or maybe profit share.

I did have a GT with a Whipple from Whipple. The installer in Waco recommended it above the Ford unit.

There are some S650s with Prochargers on YouTube. But they're not helical cut gears. People who like Procharger seem to love the sound of bolts in coffee cans noise, whine, hissing, and whistling. I hate to be their neighbors. Because of the ECU being locked centrifuge blowers are mostly used on S550s. Your twin throttle assemblies are used in Procharger, but it routes the driver's side into the passenger side box. But looks like theirs a third air intake from the front of the centrifuge going into the driver's side air box.

Do you know why that is?
From what people tell me is the Whipple has a better intercooler and other parts than Fords. I've no idea. Only had the Whipple. A few companies put out the exact same SC with different graphics.
