The answer is always the same: consumer.
How many coyote v8’s are directly purchased by the consumer?

If you think a cost increase on a critical component wont increase the final product price you better get ready for a rough surprise.

Which company (country) gets the tax credit for the ‘loss’?

Coyote V8 just got 25% more expensive
In spite of the ignorance in this post, the most important takeaway here is that no mustang fan would be in such a state of joy over such things. Once again you put yourself guy. Good job.

Time to make the engines in the USA. Save on the time and freight.
Maybe for the s750 platform (if it will ever exist). Moving a production plant takes time and money...lot of money...

Time for Ford to LS swap 🤣

I think they could reduce the pricing by getting rid of all the ridiculous electronics and a few items of the PP. Make a street and highway car for the normal Mustang aficionado. 350-380 horses, and maybe more torque would be great for the street. Just street wise performance products only. Maybe make smaller SCs available, and not some 810 HP model, and with double throttle bodies (Roush). They've made cars too complicated. Plus make the here in the good old U.S. of A. As God intended. Dagnabbit!

ok. But we are talking about how to SAVE THE MUSTANG. if Ford truly is determined to drive it to an early grave via even more stupid decisions, then sad, but so be it.

My guess is Ford will eat the costs for the near future, but I can guarantee you if it remains 25% more expensive to make in Canada, they will not be made in Canada anymore lol They may even move production to the US and create jobs for Americans if the US doesn't get better terms from Canada.

It's almost like that's the point 🤪

An s750 would indicate another evolution of the s197. Very bad move.

needs to be an all new, lighter, tighter platform.

eating the cost is just going back to msking normal margins for ford which is ballooning margins for mustangs currently.

maybe you should have bought an ecoboost
That's an effing good idea. Only IDIOTS purchase three Worthless GTs. One for wifey, daughter, and my damn self. All 2024s within one month. Damn Mustang drivers have bad attitudes. Damn Ghetto ass cars anyway.

You know, I really miss driving gutted cars that were just loud and fun with no worries.

I would trade in my car today for: a 2500-3000 lb 2 seat front mid engine coupe. Coyote scaled down to 2.5-3.5L with 7500 rpm redline, forged rotating assembly, all made domestically. Linear throttle without the delayed response of electric throttle body. 10r80 or a clean sheet 4-speed with Gear Vendors overdrive. Naturally aspirated base model, GT is supercharged with Darton sleeves. No trunk carpet. No A/C. No interior sound deadener. Flat aluminum dash panel with tach, speedometer, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, transmission temperature (if auto), volts. No radio. Manual locks, windows and seats. Thinner, plastic rim steering wheel. Longtube headers, 12" long or so glasspack mufflers. Not necessarily good for anything, just a whole lotta fun. Rear end that can be regeared in a few minutes (quick change, go from drag racing back to highway gears). Built-in jacking rails. Maybe have the option of IRS or parallel 4-link solid axle by just swapping rear subframe with quick disconnects on the brakes.

I daily drove stripped out cars and loved it, think a lot of people would if they tried it. I need another.
