They only "warranty" the transmission for $2,000

Also, let's not pretend those stage 1 Whipple kits (the ones with the "warranty") actually make 815 horsepower.

On 93 those cars only make 650-660 wheel.

19% drivetrain loss? No way. These cars should be making 700+ if they were making 815hp

Remember these cars were 480hp from the factory, and are known to make 420 at the tire bone stock. 12% loss.

And the 10R80 is so "stupid strong" that Whipple warns you to not dyno the car in 6th or 7th, and leave the 155mph speed limiter on it so you can't even go WOT into 7th...
I wonder if Whipple actually had an engine out of the car and on a engine dyno or of they are extrapolating numbers from the chassis dyno.

I have the part # and will check it with my parts dept to see if its live yet.
When you find out, I’ll be by to have it installed with no hesitation!! Is your Dealer a Ford Performance Shop @SSuperDave?? I ended up taking my S550 to Baytown Ford since they were the closest to my location. Would like to meet you since you’re my Neighbor.

We are not a Ford Performance dealer, I know that Tommie Vaughn in the Heights is, but not sure on any others.
Swing by Stevenson Park this coming Saturday, and look for a green '68 Caprice with a black vinyl top, I'll be at the Chamber of Commerce spring car show.

That's the whole issue with those carbon traps. One says no, the other says yes.
The only thing I know is that some people got a check engine light after temoving them.
Could be by damaging their sensor, or some other calibration that is not reading well after removing them.

So for this cause, I'm not going to risk a check engine light for something that is not really proven to be accurate.
The people who were getting check engine lights were removing the entire sleeve instead of just the carbon trap itself. Removing the sleeve changes the inside diameter of the intake and thus throws off the MAF calibrations.

When correctly done there is zero problem removing the trap.

They will get whatever highest number they can and put that all over the marketing. And it's been shown that the cars that make 800+ whp use e30 blend along with headers to make that power. Realistically for most of the people who do buy the whipple (or any other blower), you're looking at 680 whp, maybe 700 whp, max with 93 octane. I know on 91 octane, I hit around 660 whp approximately when I got the roush installed. And this is very respectable and good power for use on the streets. I just felt very deceived by all those shops with the whipple kit saying that 800+ whp was the norm. It made it seem like there was a massive jump in performance with the new kits over the s550 kits for the s550. when realistically, one could make much more power on the s550 in its current state. But that's marketing for you

Without any part changes, I'm skeptical this tune would make any huge gains. Unlike the Gen 1 and 2 Coyotes, I feel like the Gen 3 and 4s come a little more "tuned-up" from the factory. Since we already have the dual intake and throttle body, I doubt it would be good for more than 15-20 HP. So maybe they are changing intakes too.

As far as the A10 shift points, the 2024s seem to be programmed much better than the S550s. I'd be reluctan to mess with it given all the past complaints.

I'm thinking they let the A10 go all the way to 8 grand

They get rid of that throttle closing slightly before redline that people were posting about (which should make it equalish to the DH)

Other than that...??

They throw us a biscuit while chomping down lobster thermidor and eggs for breakfast from what we spent on our S650s. They should give us the whole enchilada by unlocking the ECU.
AND......................................and all Ti exhaust system!

If this "tune" won't be offered in Europe, then I call it BS. We need it actually more since we suffer a power loss of 50BHP for the DH. Removing carbon traps...yes I have read that somewhere else too, but risking failure or loosing warranty for 10-15 BHP. Nah, ain't worth it.

I sincerely hope this tuning mod will be available for Europeans too.

I believe FP isn't offering parts (ie: supercharger) and tunes in Europe since 2017 Mustangs, they're actually limited to aesthetic (mostly Focus) and mechanics (suspensions and exhaust). Hence I won't be much confident that they will change their policy (due to the EU restrictions on emissions) unfortunately. Maybe we can install it, but there's no point to do so a losing the warranty, otherwise I would have already installed the supercharger.

According to this article it sounds like the 24 Mutang V8's are going to be getting the Ford Performance Tune hopefully soon. Not sure what the cost will be but probably in the ball park of past Ford Performance tunes:

Recently, Ford Truck Enthusiasts uncovered this new offering via the California Air Resources Board (CARB) website, where they discovered a listing for a Ford V8 Power Pack Calibration. Taking a closer look, it seems as if 2021-2024 Ford F-150 pickups with the Coyote V8 are among that list under CARB E.O. D-431-11 and – specifically – the part numbers of M-9603-F50 for 2021-2023 F-150 pickups, and M-9603-F50A for the refreshed 2024 model.

Though the details of this future performance calibration for V8-powered Ford F-150 pickups haven’t been released as of yet, we can assume that it’ll look a lot like the existing tunes that Ford Performance already offers for a host of vehicles. That means the calibration will likely come pre-loaded on a ProCal4 programmer, which enables users to make adjustments for tire size and gear ratio to ensure the speedometer is functioning properly. As for power gains, we can look to a couple of existing F-150 calibrations for clues on that topic.

So is it correct to think 20hsp with headers and then an additional 20hsp gain with tuning for approximately 40hsp gain?
