Seat belt status overlay on the gauge cluster eliminated:

720-13-01
720-13-02
After taking a backup of the IPC as built, I changed both fields above to all zeroes. Write all and a prompt comes up that you confirm, then cycle the ignition switch.

Seat belt status splash screen eliminated!

Thanks to @roadpilot for alerting me to the behavior of the Ford Mothership.

Just as an academic exercise, I pulled down my ABD just this morning and bumped it up against my first set of values I download (19 July 24) when I start making minor FORScan edits. Sure enough, within as little as 36 days (probably less) my "As Built" reflects whatever updates have been passed down from the Ford mothership and my own edits.

I've been using Forscan on my last 4-5 pickups, so I'm familiar with how to use it. That being said I have a question or two for you guys. Do only the items on the mustang spreadsheet on page 1 work so far, or is there any carry over items that work for trucks and Mustangs alike, such as disabling the seatbelt chime, or the honk when getting out with engine running but key in your pocket? The seatbelt graphic disable is all I'm interested in so far, but I'll wait a bit to do it unless similar truck items can be found that work to. Or maybe its a matter of guinea pigging myself and trying stuff from Dark Horse spread sheet from Livinitup? Thanks

It’s pretty thin, I think we need to figure out disabling the double honk. Unlike my 2017 Rap, was able to disable the seat belt chime via some YouTubing. Took I believe 3 tries and I got it; it was an F250 youtube video that nailed it, it’s not quite as described in the manual
- My Rap could not be disabled without FORSCAN between me a dealer tech and a senior dealer tech.

I do like the continuous gear display though...

Getting "Service procedure has been interrupted" error when trying to write a change. Trying to edit 726-57-01 on BodyCM (cigarette plug timeout after car off).

I'm using the vLinker cable from the FORScan website. Same error with a cheap Amazon adapter too.

Should I be using AS BUILT or not? And I presume Job 1 vs Job 2 should not matter, as it's the same on both.

What adapter are you guys having success with?

Has anyone started playing around with flattening the EQ on ACM 727-01-02 on the 650’s yet? I have a 301a 9 speaker setup that I want to try to liven up a bit and this was a good fix on my 2017 F150. I’m going to dust off my OBDlink MX and renew my license soon…

FYI this is what I’m referring to:

727-01-02 x*xx. 0=Flat EQ
1=Premium EQ #1 7=Audiophile EQ#3 D-F=misconfiguration
2=Premium EQ #2 8=Audiophile EQ#4
3=Premium EQ #3 9=Audiophile EQ#5
4=Premium EQ#4 A=Audiophile EQ#6
5=Audiophile EQ#1 B=Audiophile EQ#7
6=Audiophile EQ#2 C=Audiophile EQ#8

Update:
The spreadsheet is indicating the number is in a different spot now. This is the one listed for the 2024:

727-01-02xxx*xxxxxx--0 =EQS Flat EQ7 =EQS EQ #7
1 =EQS EQ #18 =EQS EQ #8
2 =EQS EQ #29 =EQS EQ #9
3 =EQS EQ #3A =EQS EQ #10
4 =EQS EQ #4B =EQS EQ #11
5 =EQS EQ #5C =EQS EQ #12
6 =EQS EQ #6

Let me know if you learn more about this.. I just installed an aftermarket subwoofer and I'm curious which of these would sound best as I'm getting the signal from the rear speakers.

Thanks!

Yes, you can enable the Audible Walk Away Lock Feedback (AWALF). You'll get a single horn chirp when the WAL locks the vehicle.

There is a change in the APIM (not the one you quoted) that will add WAL to the Sync screen under Vehicle /Lock / Walk Away Lock. BUT ... it is not operational.

If you enable it, you can disable WAL using the Sync screen:

But if you attempt to (re) enable it on the screen, it throws an error:

At this point, the only way to re-enable it is to use FORScan. That's why we didn't include this on the spreadsheet.

There are two BCM changes that enable AWALF and one APIM change that (supposedly) adds it to the touchscreen. I have successfully tested the AWALF itself, but I don't recall checking Sync screen after the APIM update to see if there was a new slider there for AWALF.

Being that it becomes available on the screen after enabling it in Forscan, I wonder if the mothership will add it as a selectable feature in a future update.

They can always do anything they want, but the fact that they did NOT enable it to begin with would lead me to believe they probably won't.

Beyond that, if you read what I wrote, something else is missing. Once WAL is displayed, you can disable it on the screen, but if you try to re-enable it on the screen, you can't. It errors out. The only way to re-enable it is to use FORScan (again), which is why I told @rugedraw that we should NOT include the toggle display for WAL on the spreadsheet.

Well, I can testify that the Forscan change to enable the WAL and AWLAF worked flawlessly on my car. It even shows on the screen. Obviously, I did not try to disable and re-enable on the screen.

Yes, I was the one who confirmed all that long ago.

Obviously, I did not try to disable and re-enable on the screen.
Unless you want to break out FORScan again ... don't do this. :like:

you dont need FORScan to do that anymore. now, you go into your vehicle settings and disable "key detection alert"

i added this to the post about the special codes, but there is a chance that this change could cause safety issues, as it's basically telling the IPC there are not any seats in the vehicle at all

@roadpilot (or anyone), do these Mustangs come with the Beosonic menu on the B&O equipped cars? If not, do you guys want to try and see if it works for you guys? Confirmed to work on a 2023 Mach E, but it does not seem to work on 21-23 F150's....at least not the ones with the 18-speaker set up. It does work on the 2024 F150, though.
