I agree the biggest detractor for mustang buyers are electric vehicles and SUVs.
Ford knew the mustang would sell less(sales have been in decline over the last 5-6 years) and priced it according to the demand. Its becoming a niche market now. Only the V8 old school die hards that want to row theirs gears(like me) want one nowadays.
Many complain about the DarkHorse price and lack of aftermarket but the DH is a heavily modified GT from the factory. The aftermarket is basically included as a package in its price. Not enough? Slap a factory warrantied SC on it. What else can you do to it?
You think Dodge and Chevy are stupid pulling the plug on Camaros and Challengers? They didnt leave the pie to Ford. Its just a pie that people dont eat anymore.
Its a dying segment in a market dominated by EV and big ugly SUVs. Mustang is a dying breed. Thats all.
Survival of the fittest? I dont know, I dont trust the EV bandwagon, doubled down bying an expensive(and fantastic)Dark Horse and plan driving it until the wheels fall off.
