Wow, big increases. The car I picked up in April was $58,930 sticker. Same configuration in a '25 is $64,560

OUCH! $5,630 increase in one model year. 9.5% higher!

I'm thinking I made the right choice in deciding to pick up my '24. The timing was not ideal for me so I was very much considering waiting until next year. Glad I didn't.

GT Premium Convertible base price went from $51,515 in early 2024 to $55,480 for a 2025

That's a $3,965 increase. Damn!

Grabber Blue Brembos are no longer an option. I didn't even know about this option originally, but glad mine came optioned with it.

I 'tried' to build the same spec and the price went up about $6,000. Or $5,000 if you put aside the $1,000 gas guzzler tax that I paid, since mine was built before A/S/S was a standard.

Definitely glad I got my car when I did.

I ordered a base 2024 GT w/10 speed auto, 301A, AVE, and 3.55 rear and the MSRP was $49535. The same build for the 2025 GT is $52460 around a 6% increase. Interestingly on the 25 the 10A is no upgrade and I'm not seeing an upgrade for the 3.55 like on the 24 but still almost 3K higher. Not to mention my Atlas Blue Metallic color is no longer an option so I'm glad I got my 24:)

MY 24 Ecoboost options were already limited compared to the GT... they removed even more available options... really glad I got my fully optioned Ecoboost when I did. It's gonna be a rare one going forward. If I were to order a MY 25, it would now have to be a GT to get the options I want.

Hmm.

Do I order a '24 California Special with the 10-speed auto and Active Exhaust and cross my fingers it stays as a '24 model?

Do I order a '25 CS with the above options and hope XPlan reduces the total cost to a '24 model?

Or do I wait to order a '26 and hope the CS still exists as an available option by then?

Decisions decisions...🤔 (It's a good thing I'm not an impulse buyer when it comes to cars.)

X-plan has price protection, but I have no idea what happens if it crosses model years. Given the price increase I'd order a '24 and keep my fingers crossed.

$2,600 increase on GT in one model year? After the huge increase last year? Jesus….these pony cars are quickly getting out of range for most buyers. And what’s up with that tiny color palette? Ford acted like they were committed to Mustang going forward, but these changes make it seem like that isn’t the case.
