Obviously if you use some of the Bilt Hamber products like Touchless, you need to be more precise with the amount of soap you use.

Also, you dont want to save any leftover mixture for too long. The minerals in the water will react with the soap so you wont get thick foam from the solution after a week or so if you were to save it.

Ta, not so much saving it, just if it would do 2 cars in 1 bottle...no biggie just 1st time using a foam cannon this weekend

Hope you enjoy the experience. I just love the smell of car soap in the air!

What you can also do if you like playing with the new toy is to double foam. So foam the car, let it sit for 5 mins and rinse. Then re-foam with the remaining soap in the cannon so you already have soap on the car for the contact wash. Gives you that extra lubrication.

Not yet. They have washed it and are keeping it under cover. Its scheduled for PPF the week of the 9th of December. I told them they can take their time because we are stuck waiting on this recall anyway.

Another member here sent me a photo of it the other day when he was at Madinc.

Out of curiosity does a 1L bottle (10:1 ratio) on a foam cannon normally do 1 car or does it do 2?

After foaming the car, I would always have 100-200ml left in the bottle, which I would keep and use for the next vehicle's wheels. But as @bfets mentioned, if you have hard water, the minerals within the water will attack the soap and reduce its foaming ability. Now, you can get around that by using demineralized water for you foam cannon mixing, but I wouldn't bother unless its something expensive like Bilt Hamber Touch-less. With Touch-less, you will be getting at least 2-3 cars per 1000ml bottle.

These days, I just mix up the full 1000ml, foam the car as needed, then empty the remaining soap mixture into my rinse bucket.

I've had a CoverCraft FormFit for many years now, which I used on my S550. Actually, the genuine Ford accessory covers sold through the dealer network are made by CoverCraft.

CoverCraft no longer have an Australian agent, so they are now significantly more expensive to buy. Having said that, the previous CoverCraft distributor now sells virtually the same thing at a more reasonable price.

After cleaning the S550 cover, I wanted to see how it fitted the S650.

As you can see, S550 PureFit / FormFit covers will fit perfectly on S650 too. So, if you already have one, you may not need to buy a new one. Having said that, I discovered this AFTER ordering a new one.

But doesn't a car cover mean you don't have to clean it so often... I thought you 2 detailing legends would be wishing for your cars to get dusty so you had to detail them again...

Yeah the website is utter crap. This is what is on my invoice so it does look right and it does have Dark horse and wing on it:

The way I got to it, is by adding my car into my "garage" on the site. Filtering that way it showed me options which has Dark Horse with wing in it. But I agree its a terrible site.

I'm secretly hoping this cover has some linting issues!
That way I can take it of the car and be like "oh no! There a little bit of lint or fluff on the car. I guess I'll need to wash it again!"

Well, in that case, you will be pleased to learn that they do lint a bit when new, prior to first wash.

Perfect!
I went with the dark blue to match the blue ember. Also opted to have the Ford Performance logo put on it.
