One guy is a better driver than the other...

Take the best run of each car, the Dark Horse was slower by almost a full second. They show that at the end of the video.
0.7 seconds

the picture you used and saying it got spanked you make it seem worse

losing a drag race to an electric AWD vehicle with more power against a track focused car is not surprising lol

The EV has an advantage of 170hp and 200tq. The results are not surprising in the least.

I think what was most telling is the second run and how close it was considering the EV's advantages.

So we are forgetting that it also has an 1800 pound weight disadvantage as well as not being on anywhere near as good of tires as the dark horse?

And again, ignore the second run and look at the actual performance difference between both cars best run.

can't say im surprised, but this is a hilarious comparison since the cross shoppers for these two cars is almost non-existent and the people who can afford both of these cars are few and far between. The amount off msrp right now for the charger ev is one of the most absurd markoffs I've seen on a brand new model car

both of these are bad lol; american oem's don't seem to get the types of EVs that people want. but from what I can tell, the mach e has been doing fine in the past couple months

Alright, so the EV had bad tires and.... I had to look up the curb weight, and was very surprised at the weight disparity. I thought your 1800 was a typo.

Regardless, I am not sure how those two details - while valid - change the general consensus that the EV being faster is not surprising. Feel free to educate me.

Agreed, drag racing is pretty much the only performance application where the charger would have advantages over the dark horse which is setup for road courses not the drag strip.

the test was cool to watch but pointless beyond that

Are you just now figuring out that electric is quicker? This is a known thing. The new Roadster supposedly will go 0-60 in under 1 second. The new Charger is not good for it being a "performance" electric vehicle. Electric grocery getters are just as quick as this new Charger.
