I’m wondering if the warranty covers 🔥?
Some of those electric vehicles 🚗 can burn up on the road.
We stand alone, it's inevitable, as a tech my question is who is working on these? Trust me its going to be an issue. If it's not broke don't fix it. Good luck to anyone that thinks it's going in right direction! When it needs new motors(so they are caled) or batteries, will cost more than the car is worth.

Dodge warranties their hybrid batteries for 10 years/100,000 miles; I don't know what the warranty will be for these, but it's probably the same. Power train should be similar to current cars, 5 years/60,000 miles. Battery replacement is pretty rare though, but time will tell; I am not going to be their guinea pig. If the Daytona ends up being developed over time, I can guarantee you that the following generations will be faster and with better range, so the early adopters are going to be left with massive depreciation at sale time.

In the not too distant future, say 20 years, lithium is probably going to be replaced, perhaps by aluminum, perhaps high density capacitors/non-liquid electrolytes will become viable, so hopefully the notorious safety issues from rechargeable batteries may be mitigated.

Not being a Debbie downer, but good luck with that. Glad you're not being that guinea pig. Time will tell, but I'm not confident that will be the end result. My prediction is a hot mess. Ice has less impact on carbon emissions. Facts, they say Evs are better. Not buying it.

EVs pollute a lot less, once they are made and assuming carbon costs of electricity are partly mitigated by the method of power generation. Carbon footprint is better on EVs but it's not green by a long ways; now if you start making the majority of electricity with renewables that have less carbon costs for building and maintenance, switch to less damaging materials than lithium and cobalt, then the prospect is better.

2020 F150 4x4 Limited. 2024 GT Mustang Premium. Both in Rapid Red.
The Dodge has a universal platform, rather than one dedicated to electric power, so they can use the six cylinder engine. Weight savings with more aluminum, integrating the battery into the frame, and using compact components (vs. having bulky motors and a two speed transmission) could have been implemented, but were not. The Lucid Air Touring weighs in at 5000lbs with a 92kW battery (with a motor/integrated 1 speed gear weighing 163lbs.; the front motor is just 70.5lbs.) yielding 377 miles of range on 20" wheels, and it has a 0-60 of 3.4s at 620hp; but that car has some very neat engineering.
How long does it take to drive from Denver to Las Vegas?
My F-150 does it in 12-14 hours.
Just depends on how many Bathrooms Break my Wife takes?
My F-150 has a 36 gallon tank.
Your EV Dodge has a 5,000 Pound Battery 🔋.
Is it Environment, friendly when you have a Batter that can set you Dodge on 🔥!

I fill my f150 once a week, 60 bucks. I get close to 550 miles out of it. Im sure my maintenance is less than 50 bucks a month over the course in 12 months. I do my own maintenance. Will see if you can do that with an Ev when shit goes south. And you have to pay someone.

Range will increase; heavy use vehicles are a work in progress. You are using a metric to compare IC tech to EV tech as they are now; EV tech is in its infancy, IC is not.

However ev is half as efficient as ice.

Would that limit ev’s to 6500 rpm?

Maybe I'm a paranoid 58 year old. I'm assuming that an EV needs more feedback as far as data collected? I know the Mustang current state is more intrusive. VW just had a 800000 EV owner data leak. I understand VW has been in trouble before. I for 1 don't want to be a guinea pig. Atleast the Mustang is still on the same platform, just more about electronics and OTA updates. The 10 year 100000 mile warranty on an Ev, is suspect. We have no idea. I've had IC engines last north of 200000.
