All-new, all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona delivers up to 670 horsepower and is expected to

All-wheel drive is standard

feature patent-pending Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust,

an incremental 40 horsepower for 15 seconds

The all-electric, all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger Daytona models are driven by a 400V propulsion system

a dual integrated charge module and both a front and rear electric drive module (EDM).

The front EDM employs front wheel end disconnect, improving range and efficiency, while the rear EDM includes a mechanical limited slip differential

Both front and rear EDMs feature 3-in-1 architecture (inverter, gearbox and motor), with each generating 335 horsepower (250 kW) and 300 lb.-ft. of torque.

The battery pack delivers 100.5 kW installed capacity and a peak discharge rate of 550 kW — specifically designed to maximize acceleration by allowing the motor to utilize the most power the battery can output in the span of a quarter mile.
An all electric with an exhaust sound? YIKES

I think the 4 door Charger looks very good but the interior is meh…The 2 door Charger looks only half a good as the Challenger Widebody but I love the practical hatchback on both 👍 Electric wont sell and inline-6 turbo with AWD will be faster than a Hellcat on real roads but unfortunately not as soulful as the Hemi because the sweet V8 music 🎶 is like no manual the dealbreaker for me…Close but no cigar 🤣

Just because little cousin can lift 50 pounds doesn't combine to make a whole when big uncle joins.
Sounds like a good point, I am just not sure what it means. 🤔

This is what happens when one thinks stage racing in nascar is cool. Duration of durability how long does that horsepower last? twisted torque twiddled away don’t do anyone any good unless you only need a moonshot and at that point it aint overly difficult to downshift and send it to the moon anyhow.

not a jab at you - just a confused comprehension regarding how two can count as one.

another interesting snipit.
"Variable Horsepower
Here's where the caveats come in. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack launches with 670 peak hp and 627 pound-feet of torque, whereas the R/T has 496 hp and 404 lb-ft. However, those numbers are achieved only when pressing the "PowerShot" button on the steering wheel while at full throttle. Doing so adds a 40-hp boost from the electric motors for 15 seconds, not unlike a nitrous-oxide system on a gas-powered car. After each press, you have to wait 30 seconds before grabbing another shot. Without it, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack has 630 hp while the R/T goes down to 456 hp. But wait, there's more.

For 2024, the Charger Daytona is only available with Dodge Direct Connection upgrade kits already installed from the factory. The R/T gets a Stage 1 kit that adds 40 hp over stock, so basic math tells us it generates 416 hp in standard guise without the PowerShoot figured in. The Scat Pack has a Stage 2 kit that adds 80 hp, so it falls to 550 hp before the PowerShot. We asked Dodge for some clarification about the power figures; a spokesperson explained that the maximum ratings always include the PowerShot boost, and for 2025 the upgrade kits won't be standard. Take that as you will."

That's just the car world's version of a videogames on disk DLC.

This charger won’t sell very well. It’s not wild or crazy enough to eclipse the reputation of the old car. Now i do love me a good old in-line 6 but it’s almost like they threw it in at the last minute. Here is the rub
Nobody wants an electric charger even though i like EVs a lot it’s just a major brand issue for them. I also don’t like that they’re holding power behind a paywall with direct connection. I could get leaving special track features or even that stupid exhaust behind a paywall or option but hey give me 700 bucks for 40HP is very rich lmfao

I think looking at the pictures the Charger is not a bad looking car taking some clues from the original and I like the practical hatchback and option for AWD…BUT without the option for a V8 which is the heart & soul of Dodge sales will be slow…IMHO The inline-6 turbo will make good power & torque and will be smooth but it wont get better mileage and wont sound as good as the Hemi…The electric option is no option…LOL
