Good Day everyone,

I have BMR jacking rails that used on my S550 and am sure they work on S650 as well based on videos I saw and also as per BMR website.

however I noticed that Dark Horse has got felt under body and is held by screws which may get under the jacking rail making it difficult to install.

in addition to that a piece of felt need to be cut at the front where the mounting points are because those mounting bolts are also hidden under the felt ( rear ones are exposed no issues).
My question is, has anyone installed the jacking rails on their Dark Horses and if yes, what do you have to do deal with felt and screws holding the felt.
Thanks in advance

Yes, I installed the Steeda jacking rails on my DH. Steedas website hosts a video on how to install the rails, including how to trim the felt. The Steeda video will answer all of your questions.

We all have the felt. (At least on the GTs).

I didn’t cut anything. I put the jacking rails over the felt and it compressed it, only cutting out holes for the bolts. Also, the Steeda ones cleared the little screws, so I didn’t remove any of those.

It appears the BMR ones I have are long chassis so I can’t install them on Dark Horse as they extend further than the install holes at front and in S650 or say Dark horse the front part is a bit elevated.
So I may have look into BMR short chassis or Steeda

Is the felt that is referred to called a "splash shield" in the instructions.

What are the differences between the 2 jacking rails you offer? I saw the video but couldn't really understand besides the weight and lenght.

If you are trying to make quick pit stops at the track, the 1/8’ lower that the 555-5205 sits might make your pit stops a couple of seconds quicker.

But the additional area for a jack stand that the 555-5212 has makes it more popular for most Mustang owners.

You can't go wrong with either one.

So, I ended up ordering BMR CJR760 short Chassis box jacking rails. I made sure the longer one as mentioned in the videos goes to Driver Side (Passenger side in AU) and shorter one to Passenger side (Driver side AU). I managed to install (Driver Side AU) but having trouble installing the (Passenger side AU) as it doesn't seem to be lining up properly for the rear bolt and has done a slight damage to the threads, not something serious. So i thought i should check BMR website and found that they are asking to remove and discard the Wheel Well Liner brackets as shown in the images.
Firstly i don't know how to remove it and secondly, i am not sure what will be the implications of removing this bracket.
So question to you all fellow Pioneers and members:
1) Has someone installed these Rails and removed these Wheel Well Liner brackets?
2) If Yes, how do you remove them?
3) What are the implications of removing these brackets.
4) What is the Stock K-Member, that BMR is referring to here?

I am now considering not to use the Jacking Rails if it is so much of hassle and may cause some warranty issues?

Thanks in advance to everyone. I am not sure how i can ever get some of the answers if this Forum doesn't exist and more importantly the ever helping members in the Forum.

(NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING THE STOCK K-MEMBER, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE AND DISCARD THE WHEEL WELL LINER BRACKETS PICTURED IN IMAGE 1a)

I didn't remove those brackets. I didn't even know what they were at the time, but I did ask about them. Steeda didn't know, either. They just said to install the rails with them still in place, which I did.

That did angle the jacking rails slightly... and I worried about it too much for a while.

Then I forgot about it. They work perfectly and slightly angled hurts nothing... it's not like you can see them.
