You're not missing much, they don't fold very far - almost to the point of why bother.

What does piss me off is that the passenger side mirror doesn't tilt down when you're in reverse. It's a great feature for parking and protecting your rims. My 2009 Honda and my wife's 2018 VW both have this feature.

If it does have this feature pls tell me how to enable it, having the mirror selected/turned on for the passenger side before putting it in reverse doesn't do it (this is how it works in the other cars)
It's annoying. I've had to aim it down a bit so I can see the kerb on the left side. I can still see traffic on the left quite well.

When I took the dealer demo car out it had the hands on the wheel warning going off constantly on the highway. The dealer said Ford was working on a fix. I don't know if it was done on mine, but it only gives that warning now when lane assist is enabled.
Which suits me, I hate lane assist. When I can't keep my car in a lane, I'll give up driving and buy a mobility scooter.

Agreed... if I cant keep my car in the lane without the Lane Assist Nagging Nanny - it will be a dreaded Mobility Scooter for me too!

Hopefully they will have one in a "Mustang" and without Lane Assist.

I’m happy for the overseas customers. I just wish Ford would have added front or 360 cameras, and a few other goodies from their parts bin to the domestic cars.

Overseas Mustangs don't have 360 camera's either. But yeah, I agree that Ford should have made 1 harness for all to make things easier, but noooo, they have so many different harnesses.

I'd just be happy with front parking sensors, got my a$$ hanging out when I'm at the shops.

Edit: I could have worded that better!

1) my lane keep assist doesn't seem to work either. Usually find it annoying on wife's vehicle, but I'd like to at least be able to hit the button on the highway if I've got to reach for something. Even in a straight line, it'll drift off. September 2024 build

I've got mine booked in for it's 3000k/2months complimentary check in service.
First up, I freekin' love this car. Such a dream to drive.

But just thinking about the minor oddities I've noticed, and thought I'd run it by the forum and see if they are unusual and things I should raise with the dealer.

The Boot
Whatever method I use to open it, it only unlocks the boot, and I have to manually lift it to open it. It doesn't swing open by itself. Is this normal? I've seen a few videos of earlier models where people do manually lift it.

The auto-fold mirrors
I've noticed the driver side doesn't fold in the same amount as the passenger side. Again, not sure if it's normal, and i'm not sure if they folded symmetrically when I first had it.

Autowipers
These things seem to work with the sensors fine, they adjust faster with heavier rain, slower with lighter rain. But then the rain stops and the things go mental like it's pouring down. I think I'll just turn this off in the settings. I hope it's a setting that sticks. I'll test it over the weekend. Plenty of rain on the way.

Manual boot lid here too. 1st world problems, therapy is helping.
Seriously though, the auto tailgate lift with foot activation was excellent on the last car.
Same here with the wipers. I've turned off rain sensing, I think I'll cope with manually selecting wipe speed.

Steeda make stronger boot gas struts which are a cinch to fit and pop up nicely. Just a bit harder to push down to close.

The issue isn't with the boot, but the superlight bonnet, which looks like to fly away at high speed (it doesn't but gives that feel), but it was a thing on the S550 too.
