No more owners booklets/manuals?

Took delivery of my 2024 GT yesterday, and when the delivery person said all my manuals are in the infotainment, I was shocked. No more paper booklets! One of my favorite things to do when I get a new car is I like to thumb through the manuals and booklets. Now it’s all in the infotainment. When did Ford start eliminating paper manuals?

I don't know about Ford, but my 2022 Highlander came with a stack of manuals, including one that was over 600 pages just for the radio.

The Pilot Operating Handbook for a Cessna 172 runs about 180 pages IIRC.

My 2024 Camry I traded for the GT had a ton of manuals with it too, just kinda disappointed I don’t have a physical book I can thumb through to read about the car. Must be the elder millennial in me

I went through the online manual and printed the table of contents then used it to select the sections I wanted to have handy. Worked well.

I bought a manual from HELMs for my 2024.

actually went online to look at the manuals, and yes strangely enough it works. If you VIN filter it it only gives you the information pertinent to your particular car.

When I picked up my 24 DH the salesman told me it was all in the computer in the car and to access it from the screen. However in the glovebox it came with a nice black pouch that had manuals in it but there mostly basic stuff. I just look it up on my laptop.

This is a trend that needs to be stopped. We had a rental Peugeot in Italy last year which only had an online manual. Which was totally useless when you have a problem in an area of no coverage. Which we did.
It took me ten minutes to find the tyre inflator. Which, being French, was hidden. Then we had no instructions on how to get the sealer into the tyre.
So we managed to half inflate the tyre and limp to a small village with a resident car magician. who sorted us out.
I want a manual in book form that i can read when I need to.
