Curious on how happy you all are that have Dark Horses currently? Any regrets on getting the dark horse over a premium GT? I have a 25 400A GT premium currently & debating on going the dark horse way next time I trade in the future. Do many of you use it for daily driving? I would not take it to the track. would most likely just go with the 600A trim level with no additional options to keep cost lower, they come pretty well optioned out. Only thing I wish the 600A came with is the cooled seats, those are nice to have. Thanks!

My 2021 GT was supercharged (Roush Phase 2) and was an A10. Ella, was fast AF.

When the DH came out and I got back into a Manual I was like Wooooooooah, this is awesome!!!

And it is.

The DH is underpowered from the factory however I have a Whipple Stage 1 going on next month and that will make up for it.

I've literally seen a dude jump out of his pickup truck at a gas station, run across the parking lot and asking me if that was a DH... "I've never seen one on the street". Apparently all the new Candadians want Hellcats LOL

Worth it? Yeah! Freyja is a hoot to drive and she snaps necks no matter where she goes.

Outside of my local mustang club I have not seen another DH on the street.

1. Extremely happy
2. No regrets, would not even considered the GT
3. Use it 100% as "grocery getter" can not use in winter here in South Dakota
4. Cooled seats are awesome

I would not get recaro seats
The 700A is absolutely great. Ask any questions specific you come up with.

I’ll be the first to say I’m pretty mixed on it really. Compared to the s550 Mach 1, I barely feel a performance difference. Which is a good and bad thing as the mach 1 was already a good car. I do love the design and the blue ember color. However, I have a 2013 ZL1 that I’ve modded out that is faster than the DH in a straight line easily. And that’s with the DH having a roush on it. I’ve said it before, but aftermarket support being this lackluster on a car that’s been out for a couple years is pretty disappointing to me. With no real sign that there is custom tuning coming out for a while either. Don’t care for the screens, but they do annoy me when it takes a couple minutes for stuff to load on them. Been debating selling it within the next year or just keeping it around.

I couldn't say. I only bought it over a week ago, and guess what, I've not even seen it. My daughter says she loves it, and shifts smoother than her GT Premium. It's a 2024 Premium with Tremec Ember Blue. By summer it may have a Procharger HO helical cut with bullet BOV closed. I'll be home by April to take it for a nice ride across Texas.

I’ve been waiting for a ProCharged Dark Horse to pop up on YouTube. Still no dice. You might be the first to ProCharge one

Are the seats vinyl and cloth, as build & price says? Or more of a suede and Active X? Based on build & price descriptions, the GT Premium seats sound better, which doesn’t make sense.

I do not know how they are made, but one week ago I was at the track attack with recaros and these are 100% better for me as tracking this car won't happen,

Extremely happy with mine. Have the HP without the recardos. Love the heated and cooled seats option. Daily commuter that is fun to get into turns with. When the salt gets laid down on the roads is about the only time it gets parked. I debate on a Whipple on a regular basis, but I am pushing the limits of getting in trouble as it is with the stock N/A 500hp. Personally I probably should not take it to over 800. Would do it all over again other than the 18 month wait.

I kept my S550 GT/CS when I got the DH and despite them being virtually identical under the skin, the DH is far more fun to drive and glad I spent the extra money on it over another GT. I am confident that GT owners won’t agree, but that is their choice.

1. No regrets about buying the car over a GT Premium.
2. Yes, I use mine for daily summer driving, so I opted NOT to get the recaros.
3. I don't track mine either.

I think you will get a mixed bag of opinions here, similar to the debate around 6-speed Tremec VS 10-speed auto.

For me, I wanted the Dark Horse in its inaugural year. I wanted the special paint color and ground effects exclusive to the Dark Horse. And I wanted the forward-facing horse logo that had never been done before. I wanted a car on the road that people knew was unique when they saw it. The Dark Horse turns the heads of both car aficionados and those who could care less. My wife hates the looks, but I love the head bobs of acknowledgment. Lol.

My reasons for owning this differ from those who want single-digit quarter-mile times. I've tinted the windows, PPF/ceramic coated it, and did a resonator delete with H-pipe install all to improve the looks, sound, and glances. I won't be super-charging, turbocharging, or any of the other significant performance mods as they would be wasted on the city streets.

If your goal is cost-saving, stick with the GT, as they are fantastic cars. You can always get after-market mods of any sort on your GT to help you accomplish what you might be looking for as you debate a Dark Horse.

Just my two cents, hope some of it helps.

We love ours. We drive it pretty much like a “normal” car though. It gets very quickly to the speed limit and here in Oz there’s coppers on every corner so need to be careful. We have no plans to take it to the track.

By the way, the DH is a limited edition here with only 1,000 coming to Oz, so that “adds to the joy”.

Add a set of lowering springs and 20" rims and we could be twinsies except different colours LOL

You say that now, but Blackstock is just a short drive away :)
You are correct, it is more power than you can use on the streets, especially around the GTA.

I felt the same when I sold my 2021 GT Premium (with Roush Phase 2) however here we are. In less than a month the Whipple goes on.
