Does anybody know what the Market Country Code changes in the vehicle?
It's on easymode in Forscan.

Mine is set on Canada, and there are options like US, Europe, China, Japan, Australia, UK etc.

My guess is that this changes:
- speed to KPH or MPH
- Fuel to MPG or L/km
- Temperature to Celcius or Fahrenheit

Anybody knows what it does more?
Does it also changes the speed sign recognition? I know that speed signs are designed different in different countries.

I'm afraid to check myself what is does, and ask maybe somebody else know what it will change and if it's safe to change.

Edit: I wish that I could see what lines in the ASBUILT are going to change, when changing in "easy mode".

Country code is stored in the APIM, IPC, TCU and GWM.

So an easy change in the written mode, may change different modules all at once. That's scary if something goes wrong. But always good to know which modules it changes so that if something goes wrong you can load the saved backup. Thanks.

I don't use easy mode in FORScan. Many people swear by it, but like to make the changes myself.

I agree with you and I won't do that again either.
I did the continues gear display in easy mode and all went well. But not going to change stuff like that anymore since it changes more than you might know.

The guys at FORScan are good.....I would say easy mode is reliable. It just appeases my OCD to do it myself. lol

Yesterday I was scrolling through the spreadsheet and I found a second line in the BCM module that talks about enabling the rear fog light.

BCM:
726-39-01 xxxx xxx* xx--
0=Disabled and 1= Enabled

726-67-01 *xxx xxxx xx--
4=Disabled and 0=Enabled

IPC:
720-02-02 xx** xx--
4=Disabled and 6=Enabled

The one I found is the 726-67-01
And I figuree out it should be switched to 0 to enable it.

But there are two BCM lines to program and 1 in IPC.

The change on 67-01 I would leave alone unless the change in line 39-01 alone doesn't enable it. I'm not sure what this does, but line 39-01 seems to make more sense in terms of what you want to accomplish here.

Walk away Lock

I made a couple of observations, maybe someone can confirm:

• The purple color of the daylight running light after exiting the car seems to me to be kind of an indicator that walk away lock is active
• Manual locking on the handle of the door takes much longer, sometimes even multiple attempts
• Very bad: it is unreliable. I would say in like 5-10% of all cases it wouldn’t lock. Mainly when walking away in direction of the rear of the car.

In those instances it is obviously not easy to check if the daylight running light is purple or not. Maybe the system gets confused when the trunk keyfob present sensors detect me when passing and deactivates WAL?

As honk feedback when locking is not common in Europe, I don’t want to activate it and thus always find me looking at the car when walking away which is odd.

Completely agree. Only thing I don’t notice is that it’s not always working like it does for you. For me it works practically everytime. I have the horn enabled so I know if it does lock the car, and it always does. But yes, everything else I think is the case. The lights turning into an orange like hue instead of normal white can be from WAL being active, and the door handle is 100% a fact in my case. It’s extremely finicky, and I need to try 2-3 times to lock the door that way. Also, key fob has almost 0 range with WAL enabled.
